That second video sure did backfire on Tony Schiavone.

I missed that too because I was at Nitro that night to witness the infamous Fingerpoke of Doom.

Edit: Make no mistake though, he was told to say that by Bischoff.

Linda decided to run for the Senate so Vince derailed the hoe train.

Bad writing, a lot less controversy, and it's all PG now. Doesn't help that most of the guys that made the attitude era great are gone, or are hardly ever on.

Same here. Man those were good times. I remember going to BR, NO, Lafayette show 3 nights in a row during those times.

Also Big Show riding off on his fathers casket.

This is definitely a main factor of what killed it. FX, AMC, or HBO needs to bring back well thought out and scripted wrestling with an edge to it.

Go get some awesome athletes dedicated to their characters and get back to what made wrestling great.

Stone Cold used to drunk beer and give everyone the middle finger.

What does today's wrestler do? Wave his hand in his face?

Is Kurt Angle still around somewhere? That dude used to crack me up with his milk and time he came out on a scooter making fun of Undertaker.

I don't know if I just grew out of wrestling or it just went to total shite, could be both.

But they don't seem to have near the star power they once had.

I think about this too

I mainly watched 1988-1997-ish though

Could be nostalgia, but the gimmicks back in the day seemed like so much fun. now everyone seems boring to me the few times ive tried to watch

It definitely just went to total shite. You can, and I often do, go back and re-watch matches with guys like the rock and undertaker and Kane and Stine cold and old school nwo and dx and they still hold up very well to this day.

Current era of wrestling is all bullshite. The matches are boring, the characters all suck, and there's no hook.

Attitude Era also had some extremely funny stuff too. Now they don't even really throw humor into it.

Hell I used to laugh at Crash Holly running around bouncing off walls and shite thinking he was a heavyweight.
