They Shall Not Grow Old: Digital 3D or Standard?

Hi y’all, need some advice. The 3 screen theater in my tiny town finally got They Shall Not Grow Old, so I’m going to make sure to see it today. Unfortunately they only have 1 showing in Digital 3D at 9:45 tonight, with 2 showings in standard earlier in the day. My preference is earlier in the day, but I don’t want to miss out of the 3D is really a sight to behold.
For folks who have seen it, is it worthwhile to hold out for the digital 3D tonight? Does it add much above and beyond the standard screening?
Thanks!

I saw it online and I don’t think it really matters how you see it. There’s some cool footage, but nothing you would need to see in 3D.

Saw it in standard, I don’t like 3d

Saw it standard. Was blown away. I don't really know what 3D would add to this one...

I saw it in 3D, but I imagine it would still be great in 2D.

Saw it in 3D and didn’t think it added much.

Ours only had it in 3D so I saw it both times in 3d. Like others have said it’ll be great either way and the 3D really didn’t add much.
Damn fine movie

I saw it today and it was spectacular. The transition from black and white to HD was incredible. I saw it in 2D and I see no reason to think it would be better in 3D.

These men went through the worst hell I've ever seen documented like this.
Every aspect of their day was utter hell.

Have it downloaded. Laziness is the reason I haven’t seen it yet

Saw it in 3-D (hate the 'glasses') and a couple of places where the foreground stood out and appeared to move in front of the background, all of a sudden I had another level of "Wow" moments when I realized the additional level of work they'd done with the film.
As said many times here and elsewhere, be sure to sit through the final credits for Jackson's half hour "how we did this" chat with illustrations.

Saw it the other night in 3D only because it was the only time slot that fit my schedule. Didnt really add anything special. I'm sure 2D is fine. Whatever format you watch in, stay for the documentary after the credits on how PJ made it. That was just as good as the film itself.
