Luke threw himself to his death before turning to the dark side.

Luke threw his light saber down and offered up his death to the Emperor by way of force lightning before turning to the dark side.

When Obi Wan and Yoda said he had to fight Vader, Luke was steadfast against them...”I won’t kill my father.”

And I’m supposed to believe that Luke was going to murder his nephew in the middle of the night as he slept?

Really?

frick you Rian and Disney.

frick you with a light saber up the arse.

Luke said he wasn't going to kill him. He thought about it for a moment and turned on the Sabre, but as soon as he did he realized it was a mistake. Luke saw the evil in him and for a split second thought it would be better to end it now before he could cause pain and suffering. But he immediately realized that was wrong.

Since Snoke was obviously just a punk, why did Luke never take the old X-Wing for a spin to beat his arse, if he was worried about him being a bad influence on his nephew?

Luke also didn’t puss out and force project himself in Bespin in Empire or the Deathstar on RotJ.

"My nephew may lead us into a future where the galaxy is crushed for another generation. I can stop it here permanently before it goes further or I can let this play out a try to control the --- Oh god he's burning the temple down and killed the younglings."

He's older it's a shite situation to be in, showing he wasn't of one mind on it isn't a bad thing.

Then IX cannot possibly show Kylo turning away from the Dark Side. Because Luke would rather die than give in to the dark side. And he saw no good in Ben

So these fricktards took the greatness that was the Skywalker family, and left us in the end with a shitwad like Ben

Holy frick, I hope they all go blind

I agree, I did not like how they treated Luke in this story.

Luke had a moment of weakness. He was tempted. Ultimately, he resists. He refused to give in to the dark side. I don't get why people are making this a big deal. They made Luke more relatable/inspiring in this movie by portraying him as a guy with faults who ultimately chooses to rise above them.

Exactly. Did no one get the whole "living up to the legend" part?

you mean to go along with the realistic light sabers, death stars, hyper speed, ewoks, wookies, force users, aliens, ghosts, droids, shields, sith, and jedi?
