these are actors in a world of make believe. i am 100% behind everyone who thinks this is all theater.

its THEATER. pure and simple. its getting everyone talking. this is what they do when their ratings are in the toilet.

"The Slap" is probably already being written by someone named Goldstein and will be a biographical movie about the parallel struggles of Rock and Smith in a Racist world and how ultimately everything led to "The Slap"

I bet they're already 50 pages into the screenplay. Smith and Rock will make millions in royalties.

Thank you. You'd think a movie board full of people who've likely seen a lot of stage plays would see all off the technique involved with that slap, and the dramatic elements of the entire incident. Why does Smith just turn around and go back to his seat immediately? Why is 57 year old Chris Rock not more shaken up by a hard slap from a guy much bigger and stronger than him? Also, Rock is anticipating it and braces for it.

Less than 9 mil. people were watching the Oscars before that literal farce. Over 15 mil. were watching afterwards, especially since Smith's Oscar hadn't been awarded to him yet, and people wanted to see if he'd win and give one, and what he'd say (he didn't disappoint).
