Finished is last night. Would be down for some S1/S2 crossovers in season 3.
Agree with those that said in aggregate S2 was better than S1 (with a worse ending), but Valentina was the weakest lead character on the show IMO and a huge downgrade from Armond. If you had gotten S1-level performance out of that role this go-round its a no contest which one is better.
Portia was so awkward man. Not just the clothes, but her gait and body. She moved around like a 14 year old that hasn't grown into their body yet.
I loved the "Queen of Sicily" line and response being the moment it was confirmed that the gays were conning Tanya. That scene was on point for all characters.
The couples storyline was good but a fourth to the Italians, hookers and Tanya for me. Harper's motivations lost me a bit. I get her character revenge fricking someone, but I thought the left turn into going to take shots with Cam was weird. She's smart, she's a lawyer and she specializes in taking people exactly like Cam to court. So she gets her revenge by fricking the same guy that corrupted her husband in the first place? The kind of guy she hates? Not gonna lie though, I was anti-Harper and her RBF no-fun-having arse from episode one, so nothing she could have done would have won me over
.
Essex trailer park Jack was masterful acting. Give that dude an award.

I think her motivation has more to do with having sex with the guy her husband would be angriest about.
It also fits within the overall theme of the season. Characters adopting the roles of their opposite.
Harper becomes Daphne by using cheating as revenge.
Ethan becomes Cameron by cheating with his friend's wife.
Albie becomes his Dad by lying to his mom and being jaded by Lucia, he'll be less likely to trust women from now on.
Lucia becomes Mia by using sex as a means of manipulation rather than just money.
Portia becomes Tanya by making terrible choices in men, becoming more paranoid now and eventually wanting Albie's number now that he conveniently won't be as emotionally available as he was a week ago.

For sure.
And would have liked Christopha to be a little more dynamic like Steve Zahn. Michael Imperioli was great but he has a lot more range than they gave him in the show.
Aubrey Plaza is just the worst. Or the best at playing the worst.
My fiance and I were joking that Portia and Quinn were both like little dwarves. Short and stumpy with tiny arms.

Mike White is certainly not above that given the farting scenes with F Murray Abraham.
I hate it that he stopped doing that after the first episode

I finished this and really liked this season (I didn't finish season 1).
Side note, but I still jam out to the intro music probably once a week.

Holy hell that ending.
Saw season 1 ending coming a mile away.
Didn’t see this one coming though.

There are various EDM remixes of the intro that are fricking amazing.
I need Armand back for s3. Would be easy to do as a prequel type concept.

She played the girl that I hate the most. I hate that character. I cant determine if I hate her the most or Paula from season 1

actually think season 2 was better than season 1
For me, Season 2 was much better than Season 1. Not even close. I had to force myself to watch Season 1 and get through it. Season 2 was way more entertaining. Liked the story line and overall characters way more.

Did she really, though? Her husband was terrified that she did, but we don't know that anything happened other than Harper said that Cameron made a move on her.

the actual character itself sucked arse, but she was really good at portraying it.

her husband got rich, works all the time and stopped having sex with her. she had a right to be a bitter bitch.

Maybe he stopped having sex with her because she was a self righteous, dry judgmental bitch.
Plus, her husband was a soy boy

I wish season 2 had more storylines but it was just all about fricking. These people are having sex, will those people have sex, why won’t these people have sex, etc. Not a lot to it.

It's both, which is kind of the point. The other couple were both self-centered and toxic but they were honest and happy.

Finished last night. Holy shite Jennifer Coolidge was just awesome. “He was kinda fricking his uncle”
For me her falling off the boat was one of the top comedic deaths of all time. I laughed for a good 10 minutes. The foley work on her head hitting the side of the boat should win an Emmy by itself.
I like how they surprised us (me at least) with who got killed. I thought Cameron Ethan and the Italian prostitute were top contenders.
I like how they left it open on whether or not Ethan or Harper actually went through with actually cheating. My guess is the Harper and Cameron were making out at the table similar to the way Ethan imagined it. Ethan probably banged Cameron’s wife - which gave him his power back over Cameron.
Portia is lucky to be alive.
