one reason i doubt he was behind the zombie attack was because his brother, to his knowledge was still in camp.
I think he probably assumed(IF he did this) that only the weak ones would be killed, he prob had a lot of confidence in his brother. Also you have to realize he took the van most likely and he was guessing his brother was probably with the search party that came back to the city. This is why I think he did it, he probably guessed only the weaklings were still at camp and the ones that hated him most likely wouldn't be in ATL trying to help find him.
I also have a theory that Daryl might get attached to this group and fall in love with them and if or when Merle shows back up and tries to hurt them, he may turn against his brother. At least I'd love to see that happen since Boondock is my favorite character next to Rick.

cool scene would be Merle walking up to Jim by the tree, BOOM.
frick yeah, that would rule. And it may be that the group goes back for Jim to have a fresh body for testing and they find him with a bullet in his head courtesy of Merle.

The scenes in the series where there is military equipment bug me because there are never any soldiers dead or zombified soldiers and no one ever bothers to go through them for guns, ammo, radios, etc. On the walk from the cars to the CDC, they walk by Abrams, Humvees and machine guns in sandbag bunkers and don't seem interested. If they have to hold off the zombies in the CDC building and it never shows them scavenging all that stuff before hand, that's a big arse plot hole.
From the picture Cocks has it appears he already scavenged it all.

No shite, what are the chances that they didn't get overrun before they could unload on them.

when I first got to Iraq I was a rookie by a lot, the guys I worked with were there since just after the invasion and I was getting there about a year late. So when I drew my equipment I got the shittiest shite for about 6 months until finally some new cherries showed up and I got some cool shite.

I think just because it was so late when they got there the only priority was getting inside before they got mobbed by the retards. I'm sure in the coming days they'll police up all the good shite. At least they better.
Also it looks like in the previews we're gonna see a big reason why the military fell apart during z-day. I saw those guys in MOP gear shooting each other for some reason. Either they were infected and panicking, or guys were just so fricking scared and feeling hopeless they turned on each other trying to desert. But they were clearly shooting friendlies in that MOP gear. Chaos is what killed them apparently.

Well on their Facebook status, the Walking Dead people pretty much say straight out that, with regard to the CDC/Doctor "things are not truly what they seem". LINK

I don't think Rowdy led them to the camp, but I do think he is still alive. My hunch is he has found a group of uninfected humans that he has fallen in with. Good or Bad they will show back up later and Rowdy will look to settle the score. I also have a feeling Boondock and Rowdy will have a falling out because of this.

I'm betting that's a no go on TV with the war going on and all...I could see there being an uproar about that.

Negative. Episode 1 there was a zombie soldier inside the tank and Sheriff Happy put one in his zombie head. My guess is as the zombie horde started to over take their position the military retreated and left some equipment behind. Probably a few soldiers got eaten or turned but I would think most of them got away. He saw the Huey fling over the city in episode 1 so the military is camped out somewhere they just have to find them.

again, did you notice in next weeks episode how the military guys were shooting each other? I think it will show us without having to go all that much into it next week how the military fell so quickly. So many factors could drop them in numbers and in a hurry.

and we still don't know if that was legit. The other guys implied that Rick was seeing a mirage due to dehydration and coming off that severe injury, his mind could have very well been playing tricks on him. And I'd think Glen would have noticed the helo relative to how close he was to Rick and on a rooftop. BUT, he may very well could have seen the Helicopter and it may make sense later on, possibly in next weeks episode. And there has to be some sort of special group still out there, Green Berets or a SEAL team. If these dumb country fricks made it through, I'm sure some of our elite forces thinking outside the box must have made it.

Actually no. Was it in the preview at the end of the show or in the link that was posted? The only thing I recall form the preview was the scientist taking Andreas blood. I'm trying to avoid learning to much before see the last episode I like the suspense.

I would have to re-watch episode 1 but if I remember the Sheriff saw the helicopter as he was riding into town. At that time we don't know if the group was on the roof yet or inside the building. I also don't think they knew enough about his medical history to determine if he was dehydrated, a fresh out a coma an accurate medical diagnosis. I think it is just them thinking there is no way anyone else could have survived the zombie apocalypse besides their group of geniuses.
I just finished watching Human Target and saw the Magic Negro in next weeks preview. He plays an assassin named Baptist. Obviously his dance card is full this television season.

No it wasn't in that extended link, it was just in the previews after Sunday nights show. But it was just a quick flash, it showed what looked to be about 10 or so soldiers somewhere near the entrance of the CDC and they all had on their PPE/MOP gear and started shooting each other at point blank range with M-16's. You could just tell that something chaotic set it off. I'm guessing it was a flashback and the CDC guy trying to explain to the group how it all went down in the beginning. I'm sure one of those guys will ask the same question, "How the frick did the military succumb to this?"

No he was right on that corner where Glen was on the roof. He saw it all go down and watched him crawl into the tank. The Helo flew right over that area so the guys on the roof would have had to see it. As far as the diagnosis thing, this didn't come up until later when Rick said he saw it and they all told him he was crazy and by then they knew his medical situation. It would be almost impossible not to hear that thing even if they were a mile away or so. Those things are fricking noisy. And there was no electricity inside the building. You'll hear a Huey even with ear plugs once that bitch gets within a mile or so of you.
BUT AGAIN, we don't know this for sure either way, but it certainly looks more like he was hallucinating or maybe just wishful thinking.

Yep. I know a lot of people will catch up then and we'll have another 20+ people posting in this thread by that night.
Also I have an aunt and uncle that's almost 70 and they came over this afternoon to see my baby girl for a little while. I brought up TWD and asked them if they'd been watching it and of course they hadn't. Well I force fed them the pilot episode and they ended up staying and watching all the way through episode 5. They are now hooked and said they can't wait for Sunday night.

yeah but spreading to the OT brings viewers here. FWIW until I started watching TWD I rarely if ever came to this board.
OT is also alot more active, quicked responses
we can also get into teams so everyone knows where to go
