Yep. Erin didn't quite make it.
I didn't get why they didn't at least stop and ask the hiker some questions. I had no problem with the coldness of it but he could have had a gun/training and would have been a good recruit for the army Rick needs to build.

Now more than ever before, Rick needs people that he can trust. The war's coming up too quickly for hitchhiker to earn that kind of cred.

I agree and I said that last night when the wife was upset that they are being mean to everyone now. But after thinking about it more, there would have been no harm in stoping, asking a few questions and accessing the situation.

Say what?? I haven't followed the thread but noone else pointed out that the overacting and bad country accent took them out of it a bit?

Assessing?
And sure there could be harm in it. Dude could pull a gun and rob them, steal their weapons, car, etc. Better to just leave him to his own resources and wish him the best than stop and put yourself in potential danger for no reason.
And in the end, they got his stuff anyway.

Horrible mistake. I know how to spell it but I'm not even going to make excuses.
I agree with all that but again it's very easy to just slow down with guns pointed at him and say if your hands drop for even a millisecond then its game over.

I wonder, if Shane had held the crazy in for a little longer, would he have gone over to Governor Town after Lori died. Maybe took "his" baby with him? That would be a scary pair(Shane and Gov not Shane and baby)

I have to disagree there. I thought he was awesome in this episode. Maybe you mean when he was screaming and shite, but when he calmed down and told the story of how his wife killed his son, it was pretty damn emotional.
