Let's get this train back on track....

So Shane thinks Hershel knew about Sophia the whole time? Rick still thinks Hershel is innocent?
Either from here on they take over the farm (Killing Hershel) or decide that the farm just isn't safe and they need to find their own place to call home that truly is safe. It has been hinted that Merle might come back. Do you think he comes to the farm and he and Shane bump heads and something drastic happens like accidentally burning down the farm? Or is the farm simply over taken by a hord of walkers causing them to leave asap. Does Daryl and Carol become an item? Will someone else tell Dale he's actions put the entire group in-danger and put him in his place?
Lastly... what else is in that barn?

Thoughts...

Fwiw, I get annoyed at the people asking questions like that. But still, if it wasn't covered in the show then any explanation from the comics should be very carefully covered.

All I know is someone revealed something about Carl when he got Rick's hat that hasn't even been hinted at on the show. Even included a picture. That kinda annoyed me.

Also fwiw, this is the first time I have engaged in the spoiler discussion.

I personally would prefer no talk about the comics here. It's one of the reasons I don't read these threads 'til after I have watched the show.

Why?

I have no use for the comics in order to enjoy and understand the show.

Don't know about either. I think there will be some serious questions asked of Hershell after that reveal. But as said before, if Otis handled all of the zombie wrangling then they simply might not have known about it.

From the previews it looks like the barn incident might cause Hershell to go off the deep end (drinking problem resurfaces? they showed him pulling out an old flask). He might burn some shite down.

Dont know about that one. Seems like they are pushing it that way but don't know if Daryl is really interested in it. But in a ZA I guess some is better than none

Needs to happen. Shane told him but Shane is also the only one that knows about it

Doc Brown's Delorian

Did you read my breakdown on the previous page? It got kind of lost in the spoilers slap fest.

I think we've seen the extents of what's in there. Hershel is gonna go all bat shite and and lose faith in humanity and either off himself or cast himself to the zombies by making dumb choices, which likely compromise people in the group.

I meant more along the lines of... when people are discussing what they "think" will happen you can't act like the comics doesn't exist and people aren't going to make reasonable assertions based off what has happened in the comics. Even though they are different, some things are obviously the same (with a twist).

For example... when they first got to the farm, there was no doubt in my mind there were walkers in the barn because it was a huge deal are in the comics. But the events unfolding around "that" event are different.

Herschel going bat shite alchy, and burning his own house down seems possible, and a great way to force the group to have to move on.

Here's the thing that's bothering me about the farm. Its rural Georgia. There's probably 20 similar farms in walking distance of this one. Any one of them would be almost equal as a place to stay, if it were not for Herschel himself, being able to provide medical care.

The group could EASILY just go to the next farm over, and partner with Herschel to provide for each other, while respecting each other's space.

Too late now I guess.

Someone else mentioned something about the character that Carl was going to become. I was thinking it was the same person.

Either way, there is no need for any comic talk in here. I don't use it for any other tv show. I don't use the books for any other tv show. Why is TWD needing discussion about the comics?

I think this farm is unique though with how sheltered it is from everything. The quicksand creek being its biggest positive. They also have a generator to run the house.

Like I said, 100% against revealing spoilers that would ruin the comics/show for anyone. But I didn't think what I said about Sophia was a "spoiler."

Who are you to decide what people want to know about Sophia? It wasn't even pertinent to the discussion. Just shut up about it, it may not be hurting but it sure isn't helping.

I've read the all the comics. You aren't doing me a disservice. It's kind of fricked up to the people that didn't read them when you come here and hint at major spoiler and reveal shite you shouldn't. Just because someone "hints" or "guesses" at something doesn't mean you and Mt1 should come in and confirm or deny it.

How hard is it to stay in the other thread? Not enough attention for you in there?

None of us are writers for the show... so no matter if you had a beer with Kirkman yesterday or not, none of us know for certain what will or won't happen in the future of the show. We have a idea what might come up or not, but not of us can confirm or deny anything for certain.
If you don't want to know anything more about the show than what is shown on the show, don't read about it on any site on the internet, (including this one).
The comics do exist...and what is known can never be unknown.. so live with the fact that we might bring up ideas that may "spoil" things for you or just don't read this thread.
I, speaking just for myself, will try not to reveal anything.. but it may happen in this thread or others by accident by myself or others.

I don't own a dog. It's been shown in other zombie movies that dogs are bad ideas. They bark when you need silence. They require water and food that you may not have. They smell like shite when they live indoors. I can only imagine the scent of a nasty dog living in zombie world.
