My favorite is the improbable walker in Atlanta that manages to hop a fence and dead run sprint after the van. They haven't run since. Kind of a plothole.
This was actually kind of addressed on Talking Dead, I believe last season. As the zombies are rotting, they are slowing down.

So eventually they will rot all the way down to nothing? Does feeding stave that off to some degree?

No, I think they just rot. Eventually they'll go away.

apparently that was the theory put together by Milton. They starve to death just slower than a living person.

Yes, the body is decomposing like a human body would normally decompose. that's why you see zombies like last night that are almost skin and bones but still have the brain activity.
I hope the address it at some point. i'd really like there to be a little more science involved in the show but I guess that guy blew himself up a few seasons ago.

Doubt it; we wouldn't have much of a show left. But, theoretically, sure.

My understanding is that eating literally does nothing for them. They just eat to eat, but it offers no nutrition to them, as they aren't live, normally functioning, bodies.
These are the type of things that are usually asked of, and discussed/explained by producers and such on Talking Dead.

I'm a spoiler nazi this can't be a spoiler because even readers don't know what to expect from his character. If anybody says they know what's going to happen to Daryl they are full of it.

Man I haven't read the comic and you guys just ruined for me
Seriously this reveals the hypocrisy of spoilers though

I got the sarcasm vibe after I hit submit. I'm very sensitive to spoilers though since I'm a Hodor for GoT.

You need to get a hobby.
Maybe an outdoor one.

Got to fix that Hodor status.

I do have them, I don't see how reading a blog is any indication of that.

just saw next week's preview and saw carol on the run with rick....I don't think she survives it. Sacrifices herself to help rick get back to camp with the meds

I have a question regarding Zombie killing. There are some pretty big dudes (well Tyrese) on this show.
If they smashed a zombie in the head with a fist, wouldn't that kill it? I understand its a last resort thing. But I mean, seriously, some dudes do some serious damage with a plain fist.

I love to see the "this is what i'd do" things. It's been talked about before, but basically supplies are non existent. Locating a operational Semi truck within range of the prison is pretty slim, even slimmer for a bulldozer or any type of heavy machinery, plus the sound from such a piece of equipment would draw walkers for miles and miles.
I've said from day one the best way to assure long term survival is an island just of the coast, with minimal infestation. Even then who's to say a walker wouldn't go bottom walking to the island?
Also the threat will ALWAYS be there, whenever anyone dies, unless it's in a controlled environment, a walker is the result. Basically they'll never be ever to breath safe breath. Ever.

Alcatraz = best zombie haven ever? Assuming they still have doors that can be shut somehow, you have isolation from the mainland, ability to seperate people in small areas for sleeping in case someone dies, I don't think any zombie could bottom walk there, etc. Only thing is I don't know about food supply in a place like that. Maybe if there was enough fish, seabirds, seals and the like around? Also don't know about the climate. Also, you might have to go near large population centers with tons of zombies to get there.
