Gimple is a big fan of the bottle episode, if you don't like them now then you will hate the back half.
which is going to bring about to unnecessary criticism, because the 2nd half of the season should be looked at in the bottle episode context.

For the person that asked.....the song at the beginning was Ben Nichols - The Last Pale Light In The West.
It's been answered, but is worth repeating
Great song

Great song
The music is one of the most underrated parts of the show.

so this family survived this long and had to be told only head shots kill the zombies?

Granted it was a few months back from the "present" at the prison.

Hadn't been around zombies? Holed up in that house and not going outside?

I mean it's not outside of the box to think that there are people surviving in the ZA world that have made it with the right combination of luck and stealth

I really don't want them to make the governor likeable. Just kill the jerk already.

Looks like it will make for some good conflict. I'm ready for them to all cross paths.

Tonight's episode sucked hard
If the actors get paid by the episode they're in, the main crew went home without a check!!

Anyone that didn't see a bottled ep for the Governor coming should ask themselves why they didn't.
How it was done was interesting.
What I've gathered from the readers led me to believe he was a lunatic.
As far as the show goes, he's obviously gonna be more complex than that.

I'll admit that I was leery of a Governor-centric episode. But, I thought it ended up being an excellent episode.
Great acting by the guy who plays the Gov. They managed to actually get beneath the cartoon villain surface and actually give him some characterization. But at the same time there was always a lingering apprehension of when he would snap back to the Gov. mode.
The family was so naive that for a while I was actually rooting for the Governor to flip the switch and just kill them already. But of course the older sister was way too hot to get rid of quickly. Quality poon is just too rare in the ZA. And the other grown chick wasn't bad either.
And of course the Governor had the whole thing with his daughter that he kept as a zombie craziness impelling him to protect the little girl.
I thought it ended up being a quality break from the prison stuff. As long as they don't drag it out too long before combining the stories.

Was that Aguilar from Oz I saw in the scenes from the next episode?

To each his own, but I would venture to say this was the worst episode of a TV series that I have ever seen.
I say this, because of the expectations that were built due to the way the last episode ended, and the 'On the next The Walking Dead' "previews" last episode showed. To me this as such a huge disappointment and failure on what was such as good/entertaining season.
Obviously you can't expect every ep to be balls to the wall action, but frick. This ep was so dull and boring.

If that is what you are expecting them you are going to have problems, this was the same type of episode as Clear was.
BTW anyone see the preview for next week, lots of symbolism about his "rising" from that pit.

I by no means said that, nor am expecting that, but that ep was, as I said dull and boring.
Unless the family he "adopted" has some sort of impact/huge role in the rest of the season, the humanization of the Governor could/should have been covered in a 10-15 segment, instead of an entire episode.
