I by no means said that, nor am expecting that, but that ep was, as I said dull and boring.
Unless the family he "adopted" has some sort of impact/huge role in the rest of the season, the humanization of the Governor could/should have been covered in a 10-15 segment, instead of an entire episode.
Here's a big hint the non-lesbian is named Lily.

Obviously you can't expect every ep to be balls to the wall action, but frick. This ep was so dull and boring.
I thought it was the best of the season.

Your "hint" went over my head. That means nothing to me.
Are you the poster that I've seen accused of constantly posting "spoilers" from the graphic series?

Not taking the bait.
Please expand on you opinion to help me understand why you think this.
ETA: Not trying to be a dick, I really just am curious.

I wouldn't be able to go into a complete discussion because it would be highly dependent on spoilers from the comic.
I know why they had to do this episode and I know what it leads to.
That is all

So just let the discussion die, or come over to the GN discussion, but be forewarned there are major spoilers.
I've never understood asking why certain things happen but not wanting an educated guess from the source material. Vince Gilligan could make Walt do the Conga if he wanted to where as Gimple as with Mazzara and Darabont before him can't do anything without Kirkman's approval. And that is just a fact of life.

Yeah... please find where I asked "why" and/or questioned anything about this episode.

Believe me, I'm not heading over to that thread.
I called him out because of posts like this:

with Kirkman in the position of power (and being ultimately responsible for replacing two showrunners so far that have disagreed with him)
Now if I'm just not paying attention to what's going on in the TV series, in which this should make sense to me, then that one's on me.

This.
I could give a frick about the Granddad's affinity for cigarettes.

Meh, I was merely requesting an explanation of his opinion.
Semi touche.

Talking about whether the family will be used in the future.

No bait, I was just very interested in the dialog between the Gov and the family. I was waiting for the moment when he would turn on them. Fwiw I have hated his character but thought it was an interesting change of pace to the killer swine flu or whatever at the prison.

Kirkman is the writer/creator of the GN. Direct disagreements between him and the two previous showrunners (he is an executive producer as well) are the reasons they are previous showrunners. So 90 percent of stuff about pacing, character motivation, storyline go directly to the source material and its creator having veto power.

This, I really liked the change of pace. I don't agree with the People wanting the governor sprinkled in over the last couple episodes.
I wouldn't want to be going back and forth between two groups, action no action for a couple of episodes.
I would rather have action for a few episodes, then a slow burn until a crazy arse action filled Season Finale

Whelp, you learn something new everyday. A guy named Kirkman guys write books.

This post will end my side of the argument. We have two different definitions of the word "question".
