This is so dumb on the writers part. Looks like we'll have to wait 3 weeks to see what happens at the prison.

By dumb you mean very smart to keep people watching?

superfluous scenes.

There are so many of these in this show. There are always scenes that could be completely cut out.

I gotta agree that it would have been handled interspersing the two plot lines throughout the season and tightening them up/cutting out superfluous scenes.

I like the focus on one important character, gives him more depth. Interspersing the governor would not have worked well in that aspect.

Plus you'd still have people bitching that we weren't getting enough of the prison

The flu epidemic arc is done, there is not much left to do at the prison. They are setting up the next mini-arc of the show

We got 4 straight episodes with a lot of action.

This was a cool one to develop characters

And even this one had a few cool zombie killings.

Like others have said, it could have been done quicker and better. It was so choppy with so much pointless dialogue.

Well of course they'll keep watching. Did you see how last week's episode ended?

This could have been an episode of nothing but 60 minutes of walkers walking down the highway and people still would have tuned it.

I just think there were other ways to go about showing the Governor's storyline instead of dedicating an entire episode to him. Last week looks like will be the same.

This is what I liked about it.

shite is going to pick up the next episode
(it seems people will get to see a group on the road, just like they have been bitching about the last couple of episodes)

The mid season finale is going to be crazy, they are just trying to set it up

I can agree with this. Much of this series has been filled with pointless dialog.

Gimple is a big fan of the bottle episode, if you don't like them now then you will hate the back half.

For the person that asked.....the song at the beginning was Ben Nichols - The Last Pale Light In The West.
