Had to raid with my league, so watching it late. Gonna edit this post with observations as I watch/listen.
Uhm... was that Kevin Sorbo singing there with the Venice band?
Venice guy... he's okay. He's not pitchy or anything, but I just don't care for his voice.
Nose-ring chick: Really good voice, don't think Stevie Nicks is the best choice for her voice but it was good enough to get her on the show.
The country chick is good, she seemed to have a little trouble "bringing it" during the first climax in the song. She handled the rest well though.
The Buble-wannabe... I don't know if it was nerves or what but he just didn't have that breakout moment (and there seemed to be a couple of them in the song).
WGSS (White, Gay Soul Singer): The very beginning was a little shaky, but he recovered well. He picked up nicely once Usher and Shakira turned around. How the hell did Shakira get him when she was basically blowing smoke up Usher's arse during the "battle"?
The last chick: Interesting song choice. I think Usher knew within the first 10 seconds he was going to pick her but he wanted to milk it a bit.

Been out of town for work...caught up on the last two episodes last night.
Monday:
That young chick Blake got is awesome,
Red dress black chick will be stupid good with the right songs to sing.
The chick Adam got with the weird shaved head thing is actually pretty hot.
Was I the only one who thought the one armed guitar singing chick sucked? Seems like she saw Melanie sing and pronounce shite all weird last year and tried to do the exact same thing.
Everybody's reaction to that last dude when he picked Usher was hilarious. He's good.
And finally, a GIANT frick you to Carson Daly. Just frick you, dude. I know you won't read this ever, but I hope you do, so you can see someone tell you how much you fricking suck. Getting all excited with the family is one thing (and it's a shitty thing because you're full of shite and unsincere), but stop trying to get more excited than they are. frick you. And after one dude got picked, you actually BEAT him to his family so you could open the door and be all like "4 chairs, ya'll!!" Get the frick out of the fricking way, you ridiculous bitch, and let them enjoy their loved ones and be excited that they made the show. frick you so fricking much. And for the 37th time, stop yelling at the TVs for judges to turn around. Just fricking stop. And on Tuesday's show, at one point, you pretended to actually be more upset about someone not getting picked than them or their family...you actually acted like it was killing you that they didn't get chosen and you had something riding on their audition. You didn't. You never do. So stop acting like you do. Not only is it embarassing as shite to watch, but it makes you look like just a fricking awful person. Just be the host and stay the frick out of the way. You can even be excited or happy for people and their families, but get the frick out of the group hugs and leave them alone and just be happy from the back of the room. No contestants or their families need you to tell them that they did a good job, or that someone ALMOST turned their chair, or that you're so proud of them. Stop, you fricking count.

I would love to see your reaction one day if Carson showed up on here in a Game of Thrones thread and posted a spoiler

Totally agree. The Voice + Seacrest would make the perfect talent show, IMO.

This really is spectacular and should be given to Carson in the next production meeting. He's so phony that it ruins a lot of the moments.

Last night:
Shakira was looking great. Think she picked wrong on Garrett though. He's garbage.
Good for Usher telling both of those chicks that they kinda sucked.
I agreed with most of the picks, but nobody was really blowing anything away IMO. And none of the battles were really impressive for me, even though Adam basically said every one was the best he's ever seen.

Caroline is a cutie, and an STL girl, but Danielle was much better.

Caroline just has that same thing, it's all she can do, no real range, which is the common theme with the indie folk scene.
Danielle nailed her highs and was more polished despite being 15.

eta: Danielle has talent but it's not unique there are a lot of girls that can do the same thing.

Not what he said. He said the harmonies in the middle portion got a little shaky. He liked both . . . as evidenced by the steal.

I liked both. Power and range doesn't necessarily mean the best "vocalist".
ETA, I don't get the hate for Carson Daly. I'm not huge fan, but he's no worse than most tv personalities. fricking Ryan Seacrest . . . really . . .

On this show it does.
Cassadee Pope won on power alone last season, her low keys were always pretty bad she could just nail a high note like noneother.
