Is this your personal list? Not too bad, but I think you got the wrong one from GWTW. I think if we're talking "most iconic", the "frankly my dear" scene might get the nod.

It has to be a personal list. I don't agree with most of them, but it's still a solid list of great scenes.

The entire first 30 mins of this movie is some of the greatest ever put on film, IMO.

This one might not make many lists, but its one of my favorite movie scenes of all time

I agree. also, I think the horse head scene is much more memorable than the baptism.

Yeah, it's my personal list. The reason why I rank "As God as my witness..." #1 is because that 90 seconds of film explains the character of Scarlett O'Hara all in one scene. And for a character as iconic and complex as she is, to fit that description into a single scene is quite impressive.

It's a scene most writers and directors wish they could replicate simply due to its statement on character.

pretty good list except for your No. 1. But then again, I tend to loathe Gone With the Wind and get pissed just thinking about 4 hours of my life wasted watching it.

I would think the Ezekiel 25:17 scene would be top 15

I hate to admit it but the scene on the bow of Titanic is probably the most memorable and iconic scene from the last 20 years. When people hear the name "Titanic" spoken that is the scene a lot of people jump to in their minds. It doesn't matter if they are talking about the movie or the real ship itself.

Great line, well-delivered, but hardly among the Top 15 most iconic of all-time IMHO.

7. Gonna Fly Now!
8. Climbing the Empire State Building
9. "I'm ready for my close-up."
10. "There's no place like home."
11. Chestburster
12. "You talking to me?"
13. "I'm flying, Jack!"
14. "Hey Stella!"
15. The Idol

Your list is mostly good. But I'd remove #9 and replace it with Patton's opening speech. And I might pull out #15 and replace it with Indiana Jones running from that big round rock with the theme music playing.
