I'm the same way. It's not great but it does just enough to make you want to keep watching. At least for me

Maybe....it's continuing the weirdness from last week (which is fine). As I stated, it is doing just enough to keep me guessing and intrigued but this camera view stuff might get old.

read the synopsis for the next two episodes on wiki just now, looks like they will really start moving the story line along next week

It does keep you guessing, and plenty of WTF?!? moments to keep you watching.

I'm interested in where they're going to go with the Morcegos. It was interesting when Clark gave himself up and they stopped attacking and the camera man was pulled out from under the tree. It was like he redeemed himself and the others for the selfish killing of the boar with a selfless act. (I was waiting for John Locke to show up)

I got the feeling they were done with those guys and will move on to some other issue or supernatural element next week.

I hope not. If they're "judging" them on whether or not they can move further in the jungle, then they need to keep them. I just hope the show doesn't turn out to be just a different issue every episode, although, that's how it's been for 3 episodes.

Yeah, that's what I was basing my post on. Also, the fact that they backed off of the boat attack and pulled the cameraman out after the cave-in/helped him save the others led me to believe the judging was done.

This. It's exactly like Alcatraz in the sense that the storyines keep me interested but there are a lot of moments and the acting is mediocre on its best day.

Alcatraz really needs to get more into the mythology and main arc.

Watched the new episode last night, and I liked it. I agree with most assessments in this thread...show is good, story is good, the acting kinda sucks, some parts are worthy, but it's creepy and overall will keep me watching.

I didn't like how the Morcegos simply backed off after Clark gave his little speech. First of all, I doubt very seriously that they speak/understand English. Secondly, they were clearly there for blood. Thirdly, if we're to assume that the boat siege and the "AJ under the tree" scene took place at the same/similar time, then how would the Morcegos near AJ suddenly know to save him rather than kill him? I thought that was kinda stupid.

But it still led for a pretty creepy vibe when they were taking over the ship and creeping onto camera left and right. That was cool.

I thought the first two episodes were pretty good. The camera thing is kinda annoying, but I guess I can live with it, and it's only annoying at certain times. I'll keep watching, especially since there are only 8 total episodes...I just hope there is some closure at the end of those 8 episodes. I agree with whomever it was earlier that said they didn't think this plot could last more than a season or two.
