I watched the a few weeks ago and yes, very nostalgic. Its pretty crazy how the TV stations, venues, and all of the wrestling managers had to work out so many deals behind closed doors.

I loved watching that. I had my VCR, yes, I said VCR, set to record Nitro every Monday night.

My buddies and I had Nitro parties every Monday. Sting is still one of my favorites.

Man I miss the WCW. I went one time when the No Limit Soldiers and Limp Bizkit had a concert on Nitro. It was the shite when No Limit did Hootie Hoo and Bizkit did Rollin'. Got to see all my favorites except Goldberg.

HOOOOOLLLLLLLYYYYYY SHITE! LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!! Can't believe I was there!

No Limit live on WCW from New Orleans

The doc brought back a ton of memories for me too. Worth a watch for anyone who watched wrestling pre-2000

WCW had two downfalls in my opinion. One it was much more family friendly than the WWE. That may have caused the focus group (males 18-35) to lose interest. Two they ran the NWO story line to long. It got old and people lost interest. At that time WWE started to blow them out the water.

There's another DVD they put out called The Monday Night Wars. It's also good from a nostalgia standpoint, but it's pretty much complete revisionist history on WWE's part. They basically make Vince out to be a victim with some of his top guys "betraying their word" and jumping ship, but it does give good insight into how Bischoff built WCW to it's highest point.

The one thing that blew my mind is how they could make a documentary about WCW in it's prime, and make no mention at all of the year long Sting-Hogan build.

And, in my opinion, what killed WCW was Vince Russo. I mean, the guy put the belt on David Arquette.

agreed, not to mention outside of goldberg winning the belt in the GA dome on Nitro, they really started to not deliver on Nitro. They would always end the show in a very predictable brawl with Shivani yelling "we'll see you at the pay per view" Meanwhile WWF had Foley winning the title on Raw, Austin driving Zambonis, McMahon vs Austin, The rock, Dx, etc. That first year or so of the NWO was absolutely incredible though.

I was about 16 during the peak of the Mon night wars. My little brother and I would get this long fricking coaxial cable that was about 10 years old and bring his little 13 inch tv into my room next to my 19 inch tv and we'd watch Raw on the big one and Nitro on the smaller one

That doc did bring back some memories. I was in HS when that stuff was going on. I had totally forgotten about that PPV that ran long and cut off. I had ordered that one and was like WTF just happened when it just ended.

yea i own it too

You right though Vince Russo killed WcW.

To me when WCW went to that stupid star logo, i knew they were trying to be like WWF.

If WCW would have kept to what they knew best and not try to be like WWF, then maybe the outcome would have been different. At the time of the "attitude" era WWF started to do nothing but promos! Hardly any wrestling; the first 30 minutes and last 30 minutes were nothing but promos. WCW tried to do that and failed miserably. If WCW would have just stuck to wrestling they would have been different from WWF
