Typical Danny McBride project. A few hilarious lines but overall hasn't been that strong so far.

Watched it last night. Kind of similiar to the 1st episode. Not Eastbound and Down or Vice Principles funny yet but it had its moments.
I was cracking up when ol boy recorded his message with the devil mask on. "I want 2 million. And if you dont, *in deep/growling voice* I WILL KILL YOU." They were like "thats not good, your voice sounds like a parody of itself."

Danny McBride’s stuff does generally look better in a trailer or a 3 minute YouTube clip than on an actual series.
So far I’m not too impressed with it. Vice Principals started off better. I think we finally get Goggins next week.

This week was a bit more even, but the impending reveal of the prodigal son was painfully obvious.
"Scotty" is basically another Danny McBride. I could see McBride playing that role exactly as the current actor is doing it.
That testicle shot came out of nowhere. Has me rethinking that roommate situation.

I’m only a little bit into episode 2 so far but I enjoy it. It’s so funny seeing the Coliseum dressed up as their church. I’ve driven by that Rymtyme hundreds of times (there are actually 2 of them about a mile and change apart).
I may go out and take some photos of some of their filming locations.

I absolutely love Mcbride's work, but this show is terrible. Could not make it through the pilot.

This first half was all set up. If you didn't make it to the 40 minute mark, you should go back and try it again. As soon as they get to the family lunch all hell breaks loose and it's 20 minutes of nonstop laughter.
