I think a lot of characters won't make it out of IW and phase 4 will bring in the X-Men under a similar situation they got Spidey

I haven't seen Winter Soldier yet, but I think its time to start executing the plan to move on from this group of characters. Or these actors at least. Killing Captain America wouldn't be the worst idea, nor would be Tony Stark retiring as Iron Man and becoming the new director of SHIELD. Leave the stage when you are still receiving the love of the crowd.

Of course, this means finding new anchor characters, which should be Black Panther and Captain Marvel. T'challa and Carol Danvers could be the new central characters of the MCU, allowing Marvel to clear the deck for the Young Avengers, the Runaways, or even Cloak and Dagger (or Moon Knight!). But it might be time to start thinking of the transition away from Chris Evans and RDJ, who have spoken openly about wanting to retire from the gig.

This could also mean promoting Luke Cage and Jessica Jones to the big leagues or moving on to Kate Bishop as Hawkeye.

Or f'n She-Hulk.

I don't see them recasting or rebooting Iron Man or Captain America for another ten to fifteen years. If Marvel Studios has one fear, it's in upsetting the apple cart by altering one of their core characters.

Don't forget Stephen Strange.

Already happening on Freeform

Moon Knight needs to be played by Jim Caviezel, period (John Reese from Person of Interest, Jesus from Passion of the Christ)

I'm not talking about recasting, I'm talking about literally taking them off the board as characters. The Infinity War probably won't be done for another four to five years, which is pretty long time in movie terms. Evans and RDJ may be done with playing these characters, so you need them dormant for awhile before you can start thinking about rebooting them. I'm talking about passing the torch to a new generation of heroes to keep this machine going.

I mean, there has to be a plan on how to get Ms. Marvel to screen. Right?

Ms. Marvel or Captain Marvel?

Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) has her own film coming out in 3 years.

Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) is a teenage Inhuman.

The Soul Stone has to be linked to Adam Warlock, period. Since Magus is supposed to be the villain of Infinity War Part 2, that's almost a certainty.

The Time Stone is likely linked to the Eye of Agamotto (Strange).

I have a feeling that Thanos will stay the villain in both Avengers films. He's too big and they have built him up too long for them to take him down in 1 movie and have Magus be the villain in another. It's going to be Thanos in both.

I'm willing to bet we get the Time Stone as well in Dr. Strange. But I'm not sure GotG Vol 2 will have another Infinity Stone. I'm sure Adam Warlock will be in it. But Feige said Thor Ragnarok has major implications for IW. So, I'm willing to bet the last stone is in Thor Ragnarok, not Guardians 2.

I actually want this after IW. I want the Cap/Thanos scene, then I'll be ok with him passing the torch.

And Bucky. Something like this has to be the plan. They really don't need to hold on to Stark and Rogers, Heck, maybe both need to go out in IW2, together, friends again.

I could see Cage not Jones actually. I think Kate could work, Sam (or Bucky) as Cap, and even Cho as Hulk would be way more fun.

Rumor has it that Marvel has settled on Indie director Emily Carmichael to direct, and Emily Blunt to star.

I think Baloo means Marvel has to put one of their most unique and popular characters in terms of sales on screen ASAP, Ms. Marvel.

And you wouldn't have to take Captain Marvel off the screen for that.

I wonder if Marvel has the balls to introduce a character next year that ties together Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy:

I wouldn't mind seeing Black Panther somehow show up in Asgard in the next Thor movie. Not in a major way of course. But I think it would be cool to see his highness T'Challa meet his highness Oden!

There's several things I want to see:

-Tony Stark getting to use Uru metal to forge armor

-Tony Stark interacting with Rocket and basically getting schooled by him

-Angela's first meeting with Thor, where she wipes the floor with her little brother

-Angela and Gamora's first meeting: where they beat the shite out of each other

-Female Loki (played by Eva Green)

-Adam Warlock (and his subsequent corruption)

-(something that will never happen) T'Challa's wife being in a Marvel film

-Stephen Strange leading the defenders

-Jennifer Walters joining Matt Murdock's firm

-Lockjaw. I don't care about the other Inhumans in the Royal Family. I want to see Lockjaw

-(something that's even less likely to happen than seeing T'Challa's wife) Meeting Star-Lord's fiancee

Yes, I know Ms. Marvel is a teenaged Pakistani girl from New Jersey. She also is the headliner of Marvel's best-selling non Star Wars title which is even more shocking because she's a brand new character. Also, her fandom of Captain Marvel ties her into a world in which Danvers is one of the central unifying characters.

Women are a hugely underserved market in comics. They attend cons and purchase books in equal numbers as men, yet lack representation in the MCU. Failing to serve this demographic is just stupid business. It's leaving money on the table, particularly when you have a wildly popular NEW character.

I'm reluctant to make Doc Strange a central character because I don't know how long a star like Benedict Cumberpatch is for the gig. He makes me nervous because he's so huge.

Well, the central character in Agents of SHIELD (and the most powerful main character) is Daisy Johnson. The most powerful Netflix character so far is Jessica Jones. Hell, if you think about it, the most powerful HUMAN character of the Avengers is Wanda Maximoff.

No one watches Agents of SHIELD. Also, there's a huge difference between TV and film. The wild success of Jessica Jones on Netflix should be sending alarm bells off in the Marvel offices. Which is why they are now talking about a Black Widow movie which honestly, they should have made years ago. It's Scarlet Johanson in black leather. this isn't the toughest of sells.

I've seen a few references to this over the past couple of months. I'm curious as to which book are you referring to? I only ask because from what I've seen, Ms. Marvel isn't even in the top 10 each month. But then again, I'm not including electronic books. Only paper.

I kind of don't want to see War Machine anymore. He's not a great character and Don Cheadle bugs me.

It's definitely my biggest complaint of the film. I don't really care about or for the character. They should have killed him off.

I think, along with comments from the Russos, that IW will change and be two different movies. I highly doubt Thanos is the big bad of the first part, rather he scoops in near the end and the second movie is all about him.

I'd really like for Infinity Wars to be a 3 way battle between the Avengers, Thanos, and Ultron. I just find it highly unlikely Ultron wouldn't have backed himself up somewhere. Ultron was a disappointment simply due to the lack of ultra violence. They got the personality and actor right, so they can turn it around.

I did have a minor issue with the motivations of both Zemo and the lady by the elevator given how far out of their way they went in AoU to show that no one died. It was a major criticism I had of that movie. I thought it would have been better with more casualties.
