I think Marsha Clark also got too much hate. Sure she at least came off as a bitch, but she kinda had to in order to be in her position.
She seems to me like a decent person who was genuinely trying to do the right thing.

One on one with Chris she is very likeable in the show at least
Anybody else wondered if their frickin?

Shapiro is apparently making a lot of money with LegalZoom.

I seem to recall Marcia Clark said in her book that they had an affair. But I was reading an interview with the guy who plays Chris Darden in the series and he said both of them were coy about it.

I'll get crushed for saying this, which is why I'm not putting it on Facebook, but I can't help but like Johnnie Cochran in this series. He's a smart, tough S.O.B. who is doing everything he can for his client. And he tried to do Darden right by warning him about Mark Fuhrman. (I think that really happened) Robert Kardashian comes across as a decent human being who was a really good friend to O.J.
F. Lee Bailey and Robert Shapiro seem like pompous, lazy stuffed shirt types.

I felt bad for him when JC spiked that n-word volleyball back in his face.
The Dershowitz character is pretty great, though not as central a figure. And Barry Scheck (even less central) founded the innocence project (just saw him yesterday in
the Michael Morton documentary).
They are just destroying Shapiro's character. He's got to be fuming.

And they made him a clown by casting Travolta and pan-caking his face

The guy playing Cochran is nails.
If anybody has ever read "if I did it", it's the only thing that gives any insight as to what OJ's mind frame was like at the time of the murders.
The way he describes it, Nicole was bat shite crazy psycho...pretty much to the point of harrassment. I think she kept pushing his buttons and he eventually snapped in a fit of rage.
That doesn't excuse the actions of OJ though. a lot of folks have dealt with bat shite crazy chicks and haven't murdered them. Poor Ron Goldman, who was just returning a pair of lost eyeglasses left at Mezzaluna, was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and when confronted by OJ, kind of borderline provoked him (in the eyes of OJ).
As OJ described it, the entire scenario was-in his mind-a repeat incident of a previous sexual encounter Nicole had with another guy while the kids were upstairs asleep. He claims he took the knife from the Bronco just to scare the shite out of Nicole, but when Goldman showed up, he says he snapped and blacked out. When he came to, he was covered in blood and both of them were dead.
I can't wait til OJ dies so we can discover in the autopsy if he suffered from CTE.

Dateline NBC currently airing the 2 hour "The People vs. O.J. Simpson: What the Jury Never Heard" for those of you that were too young to have witnessed it. Sorry for the late notice. Might be able to find it on demand.

All caught up. Very good show so far. Still upsetting to think OJ got off. The scene with Goldman's father was a tough one.
Only complaint is I don't think the show really emphasizes how much of a Hail Mary this case was for Cochran.

Huh?
He was sleeping with Nicole and driving OJ's Ferrari around town.
As Chris Rock said alluding to this..."you can leave a baby in the coat-check room and a restaurant won't return it to you unless you come and get it."

Yea i still can't believe that dumb arse glove line was such a highlight lol

From LA Times, 1994...
quote:
Some of Goldman's friends said he was merely returning a pair of sunglasses Nicole Simpson had left at the nearby restaurant where he worked as a waiter.
But Goldman, 25, also had an increasingly close relationship with 35-year-old Nicole Brown Simpson, whom he had exercised with, accompanied to dance clubs and often met for coffee and dinner during the past month and a half.
Six weeks ago Goldman was driving the Ferrari, with its highly recognizable L84AD8 license plate.

I wish they would have shown more about the retarded jurors discounting the odds of the DNA evidence. Fuhrman dropping N bombs and stupid jurors won the day for the juice. Johnny Cochran was awesome in that trial fwiw. He schooled the frick out of Clark and Darden

This sounds sad, but I never knew all of that. I mean I'm a guy, so I pretty much figured he was trying to frick her. Didn't know they had a relationship going. OJ claims during the month leading up to the murder that she was trying harder than ever to get him back.

The Goldman family spun the returning sunglasses story because they didn't want it out because that somewhat taints the picture they wanted to tell - and the press ran with it...it was a better story that he was just a do-gooder and wasn't driving OJ's car around town and sleeping with his ex-wife.
He was still probably in the wrong place at the wrong time, I doubt OJ sought him out...but he wasn't in the wrong place because he was returning sunglasses to some stranger...that's weirdest misdirection I can't believe Joe public bought.

I don't know how much the public "bought" it...its just the focus was never on Goldman. He was the least popular of the 3, so his motives didn't really matter, sadly. He became a footnote, just like his dad said.
