Robert Morse (Bert Cooper from "Mad Men") as Dominic Dunne is just inspired, awesome casting.

HIs "Are you fricking kidding me??" look when Judge Ito proudly showed off his "fan mail" from Arsenio Hall slayed me.

I kind of wish Chris Darden had stayed his arse on OJ's bench and goaded OJ into getting violent in from of the jury.

I look forward to this series so much every week I almost wished I had waited to watch it after all the episodes had aired so I could binge it.

Is it next Tuesday yet?

The State was outmanned by resources?

Nobody has better resources than the State.

I don't care how rich you are, you start by fighting an uphill battle.

Home court? The State is always home court...with all the public funds, shetrif's, cops, crime lab, politicians, all on the payroll...

It's a joke to say OJ had more resources...Marcia Clarke had the weight and might and money of California...and all those cheap costing experts and expert civil servants on the cheap while OJ had to spend real money to counter what the State got for pennies.

The State spent 10 million before the trial was half over...and they are getting all these services on the cheap...that's how committed and full of man power the State is.

Marcia Clarke had 50 people working on this case to every 1 OJ person. They threw the kitchen sink at OJ but all anyone remembers is the lawyers and not all the man power and limitless funds the State played with.

This is TV at its finest.

When this thing was first announced a year or two back I had high hopes for it but nothing could have prepared me for the level of quality we are getting.

I feel as if we have another True Detective on our hands. This first season has been close to flawless. If it continues as is for the second half of season one, I just don't see how they will live up to expectations with whatever crime they choose to chronicle in season two.

Courtney B. Vance had better get an Emmy for his performance. He IS Johnnie Cochran.

Haven't watched this episode yet, but I mourned Dominic Dunne's death. He could cover a trial like no other regardless of whether you agreed with him. He had a short lived series.

This series prompted me to revisit some of his OJ coverage for Vanity Fair - superb reporting. It was fascinating how he intertwined the OJ and Menendez brothers trials. I began reading his work, fact and fiction, after I read the articles that he wrote about his daughter Dominique Dunne's murder trial.
It is amazing what people would tell him.

Look what Anerican Crime Story is doing next season

To that end, The Hollywood Reporter reveals in this week’s cover story that the second installment will center on Hurricane Katrina and its devastating aftermath. The working plan, according to Murphy, is to follow a group of six to eight people in an attempt to examine all sides of the tragedy, from the Superdome to the hospital to those who were put on buses and dropped off with babies who were forced to wear trash bags for multiple days.

I remember this trial going on when I was around 9 and 10. It's cool to watch what went out outside of the courtroom.

Also, they should have left the crime scene on Bundy as is, minus the bodies.

Yeah I don't see the point of taking the jurors there if everything's been cleaned.

Part of it was just to demonstrate the short distance between Bundy and Rockingham. I think it was a 6 minute drive if I recall correctly.

Could they not tell things have been switched around in the house with the previous pictures of the crime scene?

I can't believe the prosecution had no recourse for addressing that but perhaps after the fact it would have looked like quibbling.

It was insane to take the jury on that field trip, period. Lance Ito was such a shitty judge.

Very true. But it was a brilliant move Cochran's part. OJ was a black man but he was living life like a white man. OJ needed to look as black as possible to that jury; after all his blackness was his whole defense.

Ito was a catastrophic failure for the prosecution. Whether he was just star struck or terrified of being overturned on appeal if OJ was convicted, he gave EVERYTHING to the defense. Watching this show makes me remember how much I hated that mofo.
The only likable attorney character on this show is Darden.

I have always wondered if the post-trial lives of the big OJ defense team had anything to do with Karma.
Cochran died from an uncommon brain cancer, Kardashian died from an uncommon esophageal cancer and Bailey got disbarred over hiding $$ for a drug dealer.

It's a nice thought. And OJ hasn't exactly prospered, either.

And Shapiro who kind of backed off and always knew he was guilty and tried to get him to plead guilty to manslaughter is still alive and well
