I may have missed this, but whatever happened to the facility and the oddball scientist who was “growing” the mushrooms? Why don’t Oz pay him a visit?

Then last episode the cop knows she killed her family, everyone knows she did. Her only alibi is Johnny Vitti, she fricking kills him and essentially announces her guilt to the police.

That assumes the police ever find Vitti dead. They won't. As far as they're concerned, he got in a fight with the family the night before, killed the family, and disappeared. Sofia took the girl outside to get away from the fighting. That's how I saw everything setup by Sofia. I could be wrong.

Plus, I don't think most of the police care who killed the family as long as the payments keep coming.

She took the girl outside so she wouldn’t be killed. Remember everyone was asleep when she went and got her, there was no fighting going on. With the police, the guy in charge now maybe corrupt but in the movie there was no hint at that and when Sophia mentioned the corruption he smirked at her as if she misread him as being one of the bad ones. With Vitti they know he didn’t just disappear, her alibi is dumb to begin with and the guy who was in line to takeover isn’t just going to haul arse for no reason. Like I said it was a sloppy episode and not like the others.

Couple things though, Carmine wanted her to take over for him because they’re alike yet she doesn’t even know what the business is, not even a clue.

What do you mean she didn’t know the business? She was well aware her dad was a mobster.

It's a comic book show, it'll have some silliness. And frankly, all shows do. Even the greats like BB and Sopranos had a ton of stupid shite.

She doesn’t though. She tells her brother that she doesn’t know that side of him, he’s never talked about what he does at work. Albert tells her what dad does at work is for work because she has no idea. She knows he’s a mob guy, that’s it, she knows nothing of the business.

True, she didn’t know the day to day. Presumably she would have had time to learn, not like he was handing her the business right when making that comment about putting her in charge.

Her dad did know she wasn’t a screw up and a drunk like her brother, reason enough to consider putting her in charge down the road

Lastly her takeover of the family. They’re a crime family and anybody who knows OC at all knows it’s not 3 bosses and everyone else expendable street thugs. For a family that powerful there’s a network of people at several levels and there’s big money at stake. You can’t just kill a couple people and that’s that.

I thought about that as well. I thought about how stupid it was that Sal Moroni is allowed to carry out business with other gangsters alone in the visiting room of his prison.

Then I remembered this is a tv show based on a comic book about a fake crime family in a fake city. I think it's ok to cut the creators some slack if it's not 100% true to life.

Somebody help me. What happened to the warehouse where the shrooms were being grown and harvested? Is it still there?

We don't know yet, I'm sure we'll get more next episode. The only thing they said was Maronis wife stole the drugs. What she did to the warehouse and/or the chemist hasn't been revealed yet.

5 episodes in and while it's perfectly fine that they haven't mentioned Batman AT ALL, it still bothers me that they haven't. It makes zero sense that they are all up to such shenanigans and don't talk about him when it has been shown in the movie that criminals are freaked out by Batman even when he isn't around

Right, but that's what she told the police chief about the fighting. It's a fabrication that can't be disputed because everyone is dead.

If we want to pick sloppy writing in the episode, then let's look at Penguin and Victor going to the tunnels. All Penguin had to do was move an old pallet and some sheet metal to break in. Crackheads would have sniffed out those tunnels long ago and hocked that working generator (that was amazingly still working after more than likely being submerged in water when the neighborhood flooded. Not even going to mention the old gas that probably gummed it up if it didn't flood).

But I'm not going to nitpick it

Interesting that Sofia Falcone and Selina Kyle are half sisters. Selina appeared to be one of Oz’s girls in The Batman. Does Sofia survive the Penguin series to make it to the next movie and meet her sister?

Batman hopes so..

Maybe there’s no ethanol shite gas in Gotham, and they used stabil, and it’s a good classic American made engine that’ll last forever and not some Chinese shite.

I literally took out an old diesel pressure washer a few weeks ago. Hadn’t been used in 11 years. And it started with the old arse diesel that was still in it. I was shocked.

Nah. Thomas Wayne off-shored production of his Wayne Enterprises generator lines before his death. It's part of the reason Gotham is in such bad shape. Asia took all of Gotham's jobs.
