I've read somewhere it's going to be a Saiyan origin story. I've also read that we may be introduced to the first Saiyan god.

There's supposed to be some kind of special after the DBS finale in two weeks. Speculation is its some kind of teaser for the new movie.

What I hate about the supposed spoilers is that the writing would basically amount to the most hackneyed attempt at misdirection, like none of us are aware that Frieza isn't sitting on the bench or isn't dead. It's such a bullshite insurance statement for Universe 7 and it comes at the expense of a character so beloved that the outcry against replacing him with Gohan after the Cell saga was strong enough to render Gohan a shell of what he should have been. Frieza is arguably the best villain in the DB universe but does he really deserve to get this pseudo-last laugh?

So frieza is going to make his wish, probably that the Sayains were never born or something, then the show ends...and then the movie takes place??
It's going to be a tough sell to wrap all that up in one film. And then the expanded universe they've just created with the tournament is still there. ...or did they come up with all those characters and worlds for no reason??? I would love to see a great friendly rivalry between U7 and U11. Goku and Jiren sparring are no Vegeta becoming a GoD in training and kicking Toppo's arse again and again would be incredible.

I'll hold on on any speculation on where it might go until after episode 131. I'm really interested in how thisbstory arc ends. The spoilers are out there, but they don't tell us the happenings after the tournament is officially over.

If the series does continue and Frieza does become some all powerful villain (again) then I could see the likes of all the angels and surviving universes (in case of a tie) battling him and trying to find a way to bring him down.
It would be one truly epic war and the tournament (easily the most impressive and massive event ever seen on the series) would have essentially served as only a set up piece in a far larger narrative.
I could even see them gathering the Super dragon balls again to wish back all the destroyed universes for help, especially to get their GoDs back for the fight.
Just imagine the Grand Priest and angels and Beerus and Jiren and Goku all fighting on the same team

I assumed the probably would continue it, but a lack of information made me a bit worried they'd end it. This multi-verse stuff gives them an insane amount of content to roll with. My one request is that they stop making everything about big big power and try to make the challenges and conflicts more tactical than raw power.

I really hope they bring Universe Six back seeing an entire planet of sayians would be great

I've seen the spoilers and can't say I'm too thrilled. Though, there is a lot of interpretation of what was "revealed." If Goku has MUI then shouldn't he be able to use instant transmission instinctively if he gets knocked off the arena? Also, Freeza getting the death beam to the back of Jiren to win it all, well hell, I don't know what to think.

Regardless of the spoilers, I believe I have watched the second half of the last episode at least half a dozen times; that was badass.

Sounds like some spoilers were completely wrong. Great episode though, animation is on point and I guess I figured 17 would pop up again somewhere. I'm surprised everyone forgot about frieza too.
