How much more intense would that fight have been if we didn't know Goku had a new form?

Holy shite.............I don't know what I just witnessed. The music, the animation, the fricking battle, the gods freaking out....it was all incredible.

Anybody who has been hating on Jiren for being overhyped should worry no longer. He's on every of the coolest characters in dragon ball history. The fact that his god of destruction is apparently even scared of him is so badass.

And it seems Jiren was never even really powered up until the very very end when he had the red aura. I can't wait to see where this story goes now...if anything, the gods and mortals possibly fighting alongside one another or against each other has really come into play now. I could also see Ultra Goku and Jiren fighting alongside one another too.

The best thing about Jiren is that he's not evil, he's just a complete badass.

Incredible episode. Best one in Super, and as good as any I can remember in DBZ.

Ultimate Instinct has been hinted at by Whis since Resurrection F, and Goku is finally learning it. Jiren appears to be using it too, but neither have perfected it.

Jiren has overwhelming power. Notice Belmod said "He will always be more powerful than who he faces", kind of a strange quote. Almost hinting that his power has limitless growth to surpass an opponent.

I remember on Reddit sometime back, a guy said Jiren's aura matches that of individuals from the demon realm from one of the games. That might be why he can't become a GoD, and Belmod is training Toppo to replace him as GoD.

I think this could very well be the case. Everyone has been thinking who and how could anyone be stronger than the beings we have seen so far in Super, specifically the angels, grand priest, Omni king, etc, but a huge untapped, already established world and resource in the DBZ universe is the demon world, we've only ever really seen Dabura.

There is a giant well of material there if they had to use it and Jiren possibly being from there would be a good set up or intro to that world.

I think it's a long shot, but still a possibility. Regardless, I think this arc is LONG from over...like probably still a year of material out there. You know the tournament won't end pretty and something bigger is coming, too much "odd" behavior has already been seen by many for the celestials and gods.

I would also think Goku's recovery will last 5 or 6 episodes and we may not even see the ultra form again for a while...which is a shame, but it also gives it More mystique.

Whatever happens, this episode will be nearly impossible to top. It was epic theater and television that literally broke funimation and crucnhyroll. There are many complaints about Super, and deservedly so in many cases, but the overall story is simply of epic levels.
