The Oscars are about stars and the studios. In her day, Bassey was a big star. Glad to see her get a final night in the spotlight for the woman who sang the best Bond theme.

She did extremely well for a woman her age. That said, this is meant to be showcasing the best Hollywood has to offer. "Doing well for her age" shouldn't put you in the Academy Awards.
