Two biggest issues I had were the dialogue and the way he wrote around it blew through the journey home. Odysseus in Ithaca was well done, 90% of Hathaways scenes were very good, Holland and Bernthal had a couple good scenes.

What's funny is you think 110-115 domestic was only tracking to 625. Still makes zero sense

Go to your little google machine and type in the average total box office of movies that make between $100-115 million domestic or $80-100 mill domestic for their opening weekend. You’re going to see $650-700 total. Thats the average which is what I gave. Then as you can see your locust buddies came in and tried to twist the conversation but were refuted with examples on the low and high end which didn’t change the average. And again those aren’t my predictions, mine were much higher so you have no point here other than a personal grudge like a little girl.

If Haddish had been cast he would’ve defended that as well. Don’t let him fool you.

I'm not interested in whatever the two of you are bickering about, and I don't need you to keep me from being fooled. I was just wondering why a hypothetical casting of Tiffany Haddish would be a woke thing to do. She's never been identified with anything woke. A little ghetto with some ratchedness, maybe, but not woke.

Still waiting on you to provide proof that I attacked you for saying 100 mil was too low of a prediction. What's taking you so long?

I'm just saying that Lupita is a very good actress who maybe tested well and earned her spot. I just brought up someone like haddish because she's not known for being a very good actress, so the argument that Nolan only did this for the Oscar requirement would make more sense. Not necessarily that Haddish herself is woke.

On track to pull in $257 million this weekend, 'The Odyssey' seems ready to kick ugly catchphrase “go woke, go broke” into the swirling waters of Charybdis, where it belongs

If this is the lesson Hollywood takes from this film, the movie industry may never recover.

ETA: They need to take a lesson from the video game industry. Going woke is a long, slow death, but it is a death nonetheless. There is no future in it. See: Ubisoft.

This guy defended the woke slop on the gaming board all the way to it completely drowning Ubisoft. He, of all people here, should know the truth of what I stated.

Notice the pattern, build a false narrative, lie as much as you can until facts are presented then start name calling while accusing you of being emotional in some way. Very, very low character people.

I don't know, man, what you said at first and what you say now doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. They're actually both award-winning actresses. Haddish isn't a woke choice because you think less of her acting abilities. There's also no evidence that Lupita got the role from a great screen test.

It's pretty wild, because the movie industry is already suffering from "going woke." One or two blockbuster movies a year doing well isn't going to carry the industry, just like The Last Jedi doing well didn't save Disney's woke Star Wars.

The people who claimed woke wasn't destroying the gaming industry are noticeably silent about this on the gaming board today. They never truly loved video games, just like the people defending this don't truly love movies.

If Hollywood continues to embrace wokeness, and continues to die, they will eventually abandon this board so they can lie to themselves and pretend the obvious reasons had nothing to do with it.

I think “everybody who criticizes this movie is racist” is about all you’re going to get out of him.
