Correct one poster has said that. It’s incorrect as the other poster pointed out but it’s one guy.

I don't think it's incorrect. They replaced Achilles with Sinon. It's pretty obvious that's what they did. Sinon is fulfilling the exact same purpose Achilles did in the book.

The blacks running around in 1,500 BC Greece really took me out of the immersion Nolan worked so hard to achieve with everything else.

And yet no mention of the Asian guy removing wax from his ear.

What purpose is that?

Again, is Sinon discussing the importance of the death and legacy of Achilles with Odysseus?

Yeah, I don’t think the final being at 2PM is gonna affect much lol. That seems like a stretch.

History box office numbers shows that it will be a pretty decent impact across the world. Not as much domestic.

However this is probably a longer legs type movie sure to older audience and the longer run time.

Unlike comic book movies which continually become more front loaded as they have lost most non comic book audience

Equally stupid.

This isn't about race, it's about realism. I would also be against someone casting white guys as tribesmen in a Skaka Zulu movie. It just looks stupid.

That’s funny you say that bc I have/had (fingers crossed I haven’t had any since 2022) epilepsy for 20 years, I had to close my eyes during the storm. It wasn’t too loud but the flashing lights were beaming. Surprised it didn’t have a flashing lights warning like some movies do.

My buddy that saw it in 4D texted me after and said he got sea sick during that scene

Running out of stuff so probably needs to just stick with the “It has a bad color palette” argument.

Interesting I don’t remember Achilles running in front of the Trojan horse sacrificing himself. Was that supposed to be Achilles too?

Odysseus talked to numerous people in Hades that weren’t in the movie. Was Sinon also supposed to be Odysseus mom too? Or was he only replacing Achilles in Hades?

Really looking forward to you breaking down other parts of the movie that you haven’t seen and just watch out of context clips on X.

Can't remember the last time I saw a film in 4D. May have to check that out.

It was brutal in Dolby with the sound, seat shaking and the beaming lights

I brought in a superior marg and couldn’t tell if it was that or the lights making my eyes watery

True.

The one thing I didn’t like was they didn’t cast a real cyclops

Fyi the movie is already on the High Seas.

Watched it last night. 6/10. Would not watch again. I'd actually go see it in a theater if it wasn't so obnoxiously woke. Literally rolled my eyes multiple times for the race interjection in the first act alone. Embarrassingly ridiculous and ruins the immersion. Won't get my money. Should have focused more on the gods/mythology. I feel like a high school English lit project could have told the story better.

It was a joke.

Though I do think it’s sad that many people are going to miss an awesome movie because of all this.

And those same people probably LOVE (as I do as well) the Ten Commandments.

A movie with an American man of scotch and English descent as Moses and a Russian as Ramses and an American woman of welsh descent as nefteri
