When 98% of critics like it on RT that usually means it lines up with 98% of their ideology
What about when 99% of morons line up with claiming a movie is gonna suck?

Or the 95% that liked Fury Road and Toy Story 3?
Or the 84% that likes Rings of Power. RT is all over the place.

I don't know who's opinion should I trust more:
People that haven't seen it and won't
People that have seen it
People that haven't seen it and won't
People that have seen it

Keep crusading for Hollywood, they are treated so unfairly!

Like any other prediction, sometimes they’ll be right (Supergirl anyone?) and sometimes they’ll be wrong.

Most people who aren't about making politics their entire personality will be able to do this

As with anything, you can use a general consensus as a baseline that its probably good and then form your own opinion upon actually seeing something.

Who's doing that? People are just saying to watch the film and come to your own conclusions. Stop listening to anyone on either side

We are comparing supergirl from a basically unknown director to The Odyssey by Christopher Nolan now?
Also Supergirl is sitting at 54% on RT so that just further discounts the whole "lining up with idealogy" theory

You’ve posted several reviews, haven’t you?

So the movie with a Boss Bitch?
Posted on 7/15/26 at 1:07 pm to Flats
I have, yes. And it doesn't matter to me whether it's at 98% or 8%. I'm watching it regardless

Nope, I’m talking about predictions. Sometimes they’re accurate, sometimes they’re not.

There's hard data now. These aren't predictions, it's actual data showing the odysseys presales are strong. Supergirl had an initial rush of sales from fans and then completely died.

I'm responding to a post about it sucking, not ticket sales. I realize people have made predictions about it being a bust, and that will be proven objectively true or false. "Sucking" is another matter and not at all objective.

RT or Meta is an attempt to give an objective rating based on a lot of subjective opinions.
It will generally give you the quality of a film. Its not always going to be correct but its a pretty consistent barometer
Perhaps think to yourself if all these people are just giving good reviews because two people are in it for less than 5 minutes

Why would I think that to begin with?

That's many on this board think apparently

So after watching a few more reviews, I've seen a couple of main stay criticisms of the film. That is the dialogue and sound mixing. Both a definite weak point with Nolan that he refuses to acknowledge or address but other than that it's a great film. Hoping to go see it Friday
