I didn't realize this was a CW show

It looks like it had no budget at all.

It’s trending in the wrong direction but I still think it’ll do ok. Some were predicting 1.5 billion, I thought $900+ but the tracking suggests $750-$850 which would be a success just not what they were hoping for. On the anecdotal side my oldest, who’s a Nolan fanboy isn’t interested in seeing it anymore but my youngest, who’s very picky wants to go. Just kind of a weird dynamic surrounding this movie, thing is there shouldn’t be, it should’ve been a no brainer.

Oppenheimer got 975 million? And Odyssey has twice the pre-sale tickets. Don’t know how it will translate globally, especially with no premier in Greece… I’m sitting this one out obviously. Putting my money into things that I want to see more of, like Spider-Man, maybe Dune, Young Washington
*Wow, sure are some nob sucking Nolan bros here ready with a DV for absolutely zero reason.

But that’s an anecdotal comparison. For example The Batman pre sales were almost 4x as much as the Odyssey and it did just over $770 mil which was less than Oppenheimer so it’s not a great predictor of total box office unless it breaks a certain threshold. Thats why I prefer tracking and then of course opening weekend but in this case I think the second weekend is a better indicator because that’s been the case for Nolan movies. What’s wild is the $80-135 gap, that shows there’s uncertainty going in.

Interesting, consider asking your eldest why. Perhaps it’s the pushback from social media.

I did, we played golf Sunday and were talking about it. He doesn’t like the casting and thought the trailers were bad. The way they speak and the Batman armor.

Greece is not a big movie market. What does this have to do with anything?
The Greek box office grossed $10 million dollars in 2025. The entire country for the entire year.

The Odyssey
Not even going to bother with this obvious gaslighting.

Word of mouth is going to get this movie to a billion or make it go as low as 500 million in my opinion

Crazy that both numbers are in play

300 made like $126 in Greece in 2007 which would be over $200mil today. Troy made just under $100mil in 04, $175+ today but that retard has no clue what he’s talking about as usual.

300 made $11 million in Greece, which was big. More than the country spent on movies all of last year.
Troy made $7 million in Greece.
Wtf are you looking at? I'm looking at box office grosses on boxofficemojo.com. You're making up numbers.
If The Odyssey makes $10 million in Greece, that's great. It's icing. Greece is not a market that Hollywood is relying on. This is not a weird thing to say.
Maybe i just don't understand what SEK was referring to? The Odyssey is having its world premiere in Greece on the 16th, and appears to be opening in Greek theaters the next day, just like everywhere else around the world.
