Sorry, that was a messy run-on sentence with no punctuation. Very confusing. Could you use more proper English when complaining about grammar rules you clearly don't know very well?

Ill admit I was annoyed at some of the casting choices not because they aren’t good actors but I couldn’t help but think it was done purely to satisfy busybody producers checking boxes.

However, once watching the actual movie and seeing the themes that have come from this story through generations and other stories and I accepted this as simply Nolan’s translation of a story done many times over, all of that went away.

None of it actually matters to the story. Much like a shakespearing play was done with only men. It’s an artistic interpretation and it hit all the major notes. I enjoyed a bit of the Greek melodrama too that was thrown in. I think people will think it’s “bad” acting but I think given the epic nature of the story, a bit of an over the top performance is to be warranted.

This movie makes me want to revisit Tenet and see if I’ll actually enjoy it a second time. I’ll continue to see Nolan movies hopefully on his 3 years schedule.

I literally don’t care.

It was an awesome experience. Great set pieces. Great action. Loved the story. Loved the foreshadowing. Loved the melodrama.

I have no complaints. I’ll be screening this in my home theater day one when it comes out on 4k Blu-ray.

ETA: again I never read the odyssey. I’ve never seen Troy. The closest I’ve come is watching O Brother Where Art Thou

The dialogue was a little hard to hear early on but the rest of the film was fine

Beyond that he's just being disingenuous, the death of Snion did affect Odsyeus but it was not the main reason for his change. His violation of Zesus' law where he and his men murdered an entire city under the disguise of a peace offering including killing women and children was the much larger issue.

Also calling a trans person a troon? Really man frick this piece of shite

I never once struggled with the dialogue in a way that I noticed. Yall are either deaf or your theaters suck.

I typically enjoy Nolan movies, At no point did this movie really move me in a good way. It was like a jerky rollercoaster that felt more painful than thrilling or entertaining. Disappointed it couldn't be the epic of our time, movies like this don't get made anymore. Super forgettable and I think it's a big miss, regardless of what the propaganda machine says. Once the echo chamber dies down, time will show no-one is going back to re-watch this movie a bunch of times.

I saw it on an IMAX screen in a solid theater. Most of the dialogue for me was fine but just early on mainly when Telemachus was talking to his mom on the rooftop

Just an fyi most IMAX screens are really just branding and not actually at the full level of true IMAX.

Not sure if that applies to audio but it does apply to the video 100%.

I made a post on the previous page Direct link that explained how to view IMDB data and remove the review bombing.

One was is to watch the 1s and 10s the percentages of them will both drop over time, the one where the most review bombs hit will drop faster and by a larger percentage.

The other is to ignore the 1s and 10s and look at the 2/3/4 vs 7/8/9 ratings

Here is the current IMDB data:

Here is from yesterday

Note the 1's are dropping much faster than 10s and from Sunday night (which I didn't think to screenshot) the 10s have dropped less than 1% and the 1s have dropped over 4%. From yesterday, the 1s still drop more than 10s.

The 2/3/4 ratings cumulatively are at 3.3% up from 3.1% and the 7/8/9 ratings cumulatively moved from 48.5% to 47.5%.

This indicates a higher number of review bombs were on the 1 side and the small movement in the 2/3/4 and 7/8/9 indicates they are mostly organic and true to viewers' thoughts.

The acting. I would think there are going to be a lot of nominations for acting, but I don't know if there are any winners. Tom Holland as Telemachus for best supporting actor if I had to guess, he was a highlight for me and showed he's going to do a pretty good job of breaking away from just being known as Spiderman. Robert Pattinson as Antinous would probably be another highlight, he played a very good coward. Jon Bernthal as Menelaus might have been my favorite though.

Very well said!

That was the most epic experience by far I’ve ever had in a movie. I don’t know how else to describe it. Just was truly fun but also felt meaningful.

It felt like it only lasted 5 minutes
