Your issues are with the politics, and frankly, I think most people are tired of having to listen to it.

Well both of those quotes are from several weeks ago; the only "issue with politics" I stated today, an really have stated the whole time; is that the refusal to even bring up anything against there arguments is keeping the show from being as good as it could be. While that technically is about politics, it's really about the show.

Anyway, I'm going to sleep, who gives a frick what I think anyway, I still enjoy The Newsroom

If the show was non stop Biden frick ups , I'm sure you wouldn't have even one critique of te show.

I agree very few people would, its not a great tv show and it has many flaws. It is a good tv show and its main flaw is most definitely not that its a left leaning show written by fricking Aaron Sorkin.

If you didn't know what you were getting when this show started then you're a dumbass to begin with. Get over it or don't watch it.

On page 10 I said this show was basically a steaming pile of shite. After watching every episode, my opinion has not changed. Out of respect, I did not comment weekly on how bad it was.

Now the season is over, it appears there are only about 5 regular posters left in this thread. It would be a safe assumption that the show was not too popular. Oh, I will keep watching because as I said 7 weeks ago...this show is a liberal love-fest comedy.

I look forward to reading everyone's comments for next season.

I bet if they showed ANY then it wouldn't seem so extremely one sided.
Sorkin is a good writer. I loved the west wing and I like the snarky quips/intelligent dialogue and the way the shows pitches are set up, but its extremely aggravating as some have said to have to weigh through the politics of the show to enjoy it.

Saying if the show was all biden gaffes that a republican would like it makes the case for why the liberal audience is in love with it. It's a two sided coin genius.

Because the quotes are accurate
weren't half of the quotes just politicians saying they think Obama sucks and shouldn't get a second term?

Uh, no. They were quotes expressing absurd opinions on policy, history, scare tactics about anti-American Americans, etc.

The clip I saw had Allen West's quote about Obama bumper stickers identifies the shallow end of the gene pool or something and one other quote just saying the Obama was bad and shouldn't be elected.

ETA: here it is.

quote:

MITCH McCONNELL: Our top political priority over the next two years should be to deny President Obama a second term.

Point being these aren't OMG CRAZEEEE things to say and you could easily find quotes from the other side to further your agenda if that's what you want to do.

Love the show and the entire season. I dont let the show's politics sway me one way or the other. They present the facts as they (Sorkin) sees them and it is up to me to determine what I believe. They make a compelling point against the tea party but their view is just one side of it.

Jim is the only character that bothers me. McKenzie is ok. Sloan is smoking I actually like Maggie for some strange reason. and I'm very glad Reese's son got what he deserved.

looking forward to season 2

She looks awful in that picture
She's topless in Dear Wendy and looks better btw...

But seriously, how do you "accidentally" tweet a topless picture?
More like she wants attention

She was probably trying to tweet it to Jim, but she messed up sent it out to everyone. Just like when Mackenzie sent out that email. These kids and the problems technology gets them into.

IMO it has to be an accident because she looks terrible. No woman would send that out looking that bad. No makeup, bad complection, hair looks like shite, terrible hipster glasses, etc. Decent rack though.

It would be a lot easier to see past the show's politics if the show wasn't based around politics.
