Like others have said. I didn't see a huge liberal twist. I saw a huge anti tea party twist. The tea party isn't the only shade of red out there. However regardless of political alignment it was entertaining TV and that is all I really care about.

It was an entertaining episode, but there was a huge liberal twist this episode. Hopefully like some suspect they do the same bashing towards the wrong on the other side, but im not expecting it.
I'm willing to bet that as far as entertainment/tv message boards go, this one has to be the one that gets its panties in a wad about liberal politics more than any other in the entire fricking country. God have mercy, some of you guys must not have traveled outside of the South.

I just like pointing out a liberal circle jerk when I see one. Really, most of us conservatives would expect nothing less from HBO and hollywood in general. I hope you guys enjoy living in newsroom fantasyland.

Thought last nights episode was great. Probably the best of the three for me.

I thought they've gone in order for the ones I like the most.
While I don't like how Sorkin is pushing his agenda, even in subtle ways, it's just tv and I've come to expect a liberal slant from everyone in Hollywood. Just gotta learn to not view it as a political message but as a really interesting show with really interesting characters

Seriously, who cares. Did you expect to come out swinging against the left? If you knew who wrote it and knew what it is about you shouldn't be surprised. It's fiction, separate it from reality and I promise it will all be ok. It's a solid show with good characters and an interesting storyline. That's the only way you should view it, not propaganda.

I am a bit surprised in that it's a show that is about a news crew doing actual news instead of pushing an agenda. This week they pushed an agenda.
The main character and Olivia Munn's character were chomping at the bit to take the moral high ground and trounce the Florida candidate about the debt ceiling while not once in the show even hinting at the reason behind the debt ceiling reasoning (Congress being out of control with spending over the past decade, and especially so over the past 5 years).
But no, let's spend a whole hour high-browing an argument that's dangerously short-sighted at best or deliberately untrue at worst, then trying to pass it off as fact in what's looking to be a version of The Daily Show that seeks to hide behind "hey, it's just a show" instead of "hey, it's just a comedy show".
It's a soapbox, regardless of whatever name people want to hide it under.

This country would be a lot better off if it was more like the Waltons and less like the Simpsons . . .

It gets so boring and predictable when any show that even references politics gets ripped by people with a different view. We get it people, you're thru the looking glass...how can the rest of us not be outraged at how [insert show here] is indoctrinating us, poisoning our minds, and pushing their agendas? [Insert writer here] is a dangerous hack (because I don't agree with them...but if I agreed with the writer, then it would be the best show on TV).

Bingo.

Seems the posters ripping the conservatives on here are conveniently skipping this point. Of course they don't see the liberal push since it fits their beliefs. I personally like the show thus far. Then again I'm not a member of the Tea Party. They certainly tried to paint them as idiots.

Some people have different perspective on this show....imagine that! To some of us, we're just as tired of seeing entertainment take a political slant.
In any event, I personally don't want to see The Newsroom go down the left lane because I think it has a lot of potential and doesn't need to to cater to one side of the political spectrum. There's plenty of material to mine on both sides. The Contender is a great political thriller, but the fact that it unnecessarily gets into some liberal talking points probably holds it back to some degree. I don't want to see the same thing happen to The Newsroom because it could be a great commentary on how the media should be.

It's not solid. It's the same predictable crap.

The characters are predictable idealists. Let me write the rest of the script for you. The white male "republican" is going to figure out at some point, that his worldview has been wrong all along and the liberal "smart" character will show him the right path to take. He will be a better person who is now "enlightened" from his experience.

I don't watch garbage like this for the storyline. I view it as a comedy because utopian liberalism is funny to me.
By all means, I hope you guys and girls enjoy the shite out of it.

I watch it while I read, so it's mostly background noise. Like I said, it's a comedy to me. I also have a hearing handicap, so the fast dialog feels like ants crawling through my veins.
