HOLY.

frickING.

shite.

LUKE MOTHERfrickING SKYWALKER.

Damn. I feel like I need a cigarette after that ending and I've never ever smoked in my life.

Luke Skywalker was always a possibilty but I didn't think they would go that far and go with a lesser known jedi to train Grogu like Cal Ketis, Windu or Ezra Bridger.

But Luke? LUKE? That's a nuclear bombshell right there.

All I want right now is to see Luke and Ahsoka finally meeting in live action talking about Anakin, their father and former master respectively and see what they would tell each other. We all want to see that conversation and what they would learn from each other about Anakin.

Oh and I hope to see Dave Filoni make this meme a reality. We NEED the CHAD and ALPHA AF LUKE, not that chickenshit coward frenchman Rian Johnson thinks was acceptable.

But correct me if I am wrong but Sabine got it by defeating Gar Saxon but didn't she offer and GIVE the Darksaber to Bo-Katan. That seems to run afoul of the legend presented.

No you are correct and I was kind of wondering the same thing. I trust that since Filoni is in on both, there’s an explanation.

I’m guessing that is the main plot of season 3. Then reclaiming Mando and the struggle of who is the ruler.

I better not see them turning Bo-Katan Kryze into a villain.

She's one of the best mandalorians there is and only has sought to improve her home world and fiercely protect its independence.

I would say that she deserves to inherit the throne and rule Mandalore but I understand that she has to earn that privilege instead of simply deserving it.

Still though, they better do her justice and keep her on the light side.

The dark saber is Mandalorian or does it give power to anyone?

It gives the power to someone who wins it in combat. Bo-Katan rejects that Maul earns this power, so she likely sees it as something only a Mandalorian can earn.

It is transferred among a few owners after Maul- Sabine, Gar Saxon, back to Sabine, and then back to Bo Katan. The rightful ownership in this sense is a bit iffy... Since she (Sabine) didn’t obtain it through combat, I suppose its not something that stands up to tradition and it can be passed along. Gar Saxon steals it from Sabine and makes her fight him for it, but I think in that case its not really his right to do that and somehow lay claim over it. After all this happens, Sabine gives the saber to Bo Katan.

Maybe that’s how she lost it and so now she’s out to prove to herself that she can earn it the “right” way.

Hamill is the only credited for Luke so I’m assuming he did the voice and had someone just fill in for the deep fake.

Yeah but Hamill doesn’t even remotely sound like his young self anymore.

I don’t think they will. I have a hard time seeing Din wanting to rule. I think the struggle could be just how Bo gets the saber from him.

Correct which is probably why he didn’t talk a ton and it was very soft. I’m betting they did some serious audio work on it.

That makes sense maybe she feels like if she had earned it then the Great Purge wouldn't have gone the way it did. Now she has to do the whole thing the "right" way.

Right.

Din doesn't want to rule.

Bo wants to earn the saber in combat and she will not accept the saber if she suspects Din willingly lost the fight on purpose and could seriously think about killing him to make the earn legitimate.

How are they going to split the baby here?

Din doesn't want the saber, doesn't want to rule and also wants to live and reunite with Grogu someday.

Bo wants to earn the saber in combat and be seen as a legitimate victor and that could have a disastrous end for Din.

Could be. Maybe the people of mandalore questioned her authority and right to the throne the first time and now she’s out to prove herself.

I suppose it could go through a third party. Din could just give Gideon some smelling salts toss him the Darksaber and let Bo and him duke it out... and sell PPV.

Now that Luke has Grogu maybe he will just accept it and be ruler. Not like he has a ship to go collect bounties.

He could fix up the Lambda shuttle they snuck on the cruiser with.

It's just a tad bigger than the Razor Crest and only needs an engine upgrade to be similar to the Razor Crest.

I’m at a loss for words after that episode.

We have deserved this caliber of Star Wars for a long time and I almost can’t process how satisfying that was to watch.

LUKE frickIN SKYWALKER. And Mando with the dark saber.

Holy shite.

And hang around for after credits! Boba gets his own show!

We didn’t see either walk away with it. Maybe Boba will have it, giving Din an out ang Bo a challenge.

That's the Luke Skywalker we all know! When I saw Red 5 land I knew it was game on!
