His name isn't Mandalorian?

i have been totally out of the loop with most star wars stuff for some time but i took my kid to see mario yesterday and the trailer for this looked fantastic!

not sure why it wouldn't be a hit. crazy that we haven't had a good SW movie since Andor so i'm hoping this will be one.

Making a movie for a struggling IP targeted to a very narrow segment of the fan base is a recipie for failure.

Considering it's coming out in like 38 days and there is basically 0 advertising for it, I'd say this isnt that unexpected. With the lack of marketing, I'm sure disney is already aware it is going to underperform.

Unless it gets crazy word of mouth reviews this thing will lose money. Domestic BO is the most important metric for Star Wars and if it's badly reviewed the it'll bomb. Mind blowing how you could take the most profitable Sci-Fi franchise and turn it into a joke.

there was a time that probably only 1% of Star Wars fans knew that Boba Fett's armor was "Mandalorian" armor

i been steady knowin' that shite since like '93

Disney has tried to start wooing old fans back into the fold most notably with finally realizing that theming the Star Wars land in Disney World and Disneyland to the sequel trilogy was a colossal mistake. Now it took them five years too long to do so and those fans are over it but at least they are attempting to course correct.

I mean, it was such an event. And even though I wasn't a huge fan of the prequels, it was an event for my kids, and I liked that.

Now it's like having the "Super Bowl" every Sunday.

Why are people posting about Zendaya in every M/TV thread?

Yes, she is mid-tier talent wise

But Gen Z are obsessed with her so she puts butts in seats.

The unnecessary hate she gets is as bad as the undeserved love.
