This episode was great. I am still wondering who Michael is. Is it the Laurie's ex-husband? Did he rape her or something and that's why they divorced? Or was he abusive to tommy and Laurie. Is Michael the father for both Jill and Tommy?

I tell you what, this espisode really hit home for me. I have kids and a wife. I couldn't imagine being angry towards either and turning around and they were gone.

We were out of town and I couldn't stream 6, 7, and 8 - we watched those on demand last week and caught last night's episode as it aired.

I have to be honest - I liked the show from the beginning, but it has really come on strong. The weirdness, notwithstanding, the creation of its own mythology (like Carnivale and, as I understand it, Lost did) has been fairly effective, thus far.

What keeps bringing me back is the acting - Scott Glenn is stupid good in his role, and most of the principals are very good.

I hate the Michael backstory. I knew I would. Laurie didn't need him to get to crazytown. He serves some purpose to Tom's character development but they could have written this out.

He isn't important enough to focus on and is a recurring role at best. They should have just let both kids be Kevin's and be done with it. Every time I see that boob on screen I will be thinking I could be seeing Nora's boobs instead. Or a long awaited birthday party for a brand new 18 year old Amy.

Mostly fake outrage. I think he is a useless charcter though. There is plenty of shite going on without adding a dead end character. The show doesn't need him in any capacity.

The episode last night was pretty good. I knew Laurie would have something hardcore happen. I wanted Kevin to be more of a good guy type. People do make mistakes but I want the main protagonist to be able to handle shite. Tom and Jill are ok but I'm still waiting on Tom to holy Wayne being explained.

All the others were solid especially Nora. The last thing she did was snap at her kid then she turns around and they are gone.

If only last nights show would have been the first or even second episode, I wouldn't have gotten so angry for a month.

If last nights show were the first or second episode it would not have worked near as well. You all would have sat around bored for an hour until the "event" happened, which would have been followed by a "thats's it". It would have been boring. Watching this episode at this point in the series shows us what these characters used to be and just how far they've come.

Garvey has admitted in this show already that he cheated on Laurie and has had to own and regret what he did. He has never been potrayed as a perfect character. I have thought pretty highly of his character though as he has tried to hold that household together after Laurie abandones them for the GR. If we watch this most recent episode first it completely changes how I feel about Garvey.

When it first started I didn't think it was a flashback, I thought it was what takes place in Garvey's head during his blackout period. Loved the episode.

So, does the GR get created that day? If that's the case, the last thing Kevin told Laurie was to F off. However, Isn't this show based on 3 years after the rapture?

So, what's worst about Kevin? Getting some strange while his wife is prego with a girl(the deer told me that) he doesn't know about yet. Or banging his daughters best friend?

And I will agree with most on here, Nora is by far my favorite character. Makes me want a holy Wayne hug

The running motif had me thinking that, as well - combined with the mailbox motif, now.

I was impressed with the drastic change in makeup of Jill and Laurie - and the actress who plays Jill great acting job of portraying her younger self - plus the very large open, modern and naturally lit house the Garveys lived in prior to departure day - to the more convervative, mid-20th century home that, now, only Kevin lives in.

Nora's story was tough, too, even though she told it - accurately described and even knowing it was coming, I was hit by it when it happened.

Laurie losing a baby in the womb - may have been the most I was hit in the feels, though.

Isn't it his dad's house? I seem to remember that somewhere.

Yeah - that's why the money was stashed there. That is old chief (Scott Glenn's) house - presumabably they couldn't afford the big house when ole girl quit on life to join the GR.

or he might have burnt it down.

So depending on the last episode, does season 2 show the evolution of how everyone got where they are in present day time? I think Meg and Holy Wayne might be the focus of the last episode. Meg just seemed built up and focused on too much to just be none existent in the last 2 episodes.

Now I understand what Patti left a shite bag on "Neil's" door. I couldn't figure out to save my life why she would do that.

Not sure I have ever seen a show come on so strong toward the end.

First 2 episodes were o.k., third episode was fantastic and from then on they have all been great.

Awesome show.

Wait, did she say she did when Jill asked her? Wasn't it after he left Nora's house and didn't get laid because of the GR outside. She said something like "on top of a bunch of guns" and that he was so hard? Or was she just being a bitch to Jill? Didn't she(Amiee) ask Kevin on one episode if he remembered what happened last night?

The fact that she mentioned the guns made me think she was just screwing with Jill.

Jill was all preoccupied with Nora's gun.

It was implied in a subtle way. They implied it by having her always looking at him and her wanting to stay home when she knew the dad would be there. With his memory issues they set the implication with her asking him does he remember anything about that night.

Then they sort of backtrack on it later or un imply it by having her react the way she did when she was accused of fricking him. She reacted in a non guilty fashion which seems to imply that whatever happened that night didn't involve the two of them going at it.

What we do know is that something uncomfortable probably happened between the two that she wanted to discuss with him and he understanding the bad that could come from it attacked her and let her know where she stood.
