The whole “let’s go run into that firefight” idea just has me like, really? We’re not gonna just lay low here?
Like you said, I get it’s based on game mechanics and suspending some belief but we’re getting a little ridiculous. I don’t mind some plot armor but lawd.

Decent episode except for the last 10 minutes. That relationship just seems so forced.
It was just so random and out of no where

You could definitely feel the Joel vacuum in this one. I’m not really invested in Ellie and Dina alone going to find the wolves and just making stupid decisions over and over again (if Tommy or even Jesse was with them it’d be different IMO
+1 Ramsey was good for season 1, but she's just not captivating enough to carry this season. This episode had some great stuff in it, but the Dina and Ellie love stuff was freaking cringe

It's always been my biggest concern for this season. The game is very violent. Can you make that believable in live action with 2 tiny girls that look like teenagers?

at this point I just kinda want to see the cult and the WLF fight
seems like a lot more interesting story than an Ellie revenge plot
also, without posting spoilers, can someone remind me that differences between the WLF and Fedra?

I believe that WLF is a group similar to the Fireflies while Fedra was the remaining government that was left after the pandimic.

This is way more interesting to me at this point. I want to see who their prophet is and why they cut their faces.

Another episode of The Last of Us, another night of falling asleep 15 minutes in. What else is new.
This show is like a sleeping pill for me.

On a side note, Jeffrey Wright’s 2nd in command (the young guy who joined him from his flashback) is the servant with the patent from The Gilded Age. Curious to see him in a much different role.
When he first came on screen I was like I know that guy from some show. It took me until after the episode was over to place who it was.

Anyone else fast forward when Ellie was singing Take on me ?
It was pretty cringe to me

I didn't play the game, but what button combo did you use to finger bang a lesbian?

They're supposed to be quiet and careful to not attract attention. But Dina starts playing the drums and Ellie gives her performance

This is my biggest gripe with the show. They seem to forget that there are zombies running around far too often. They are just chatting away at full volume while in an unsecure area or they are putting on rock concerts when they are supposed to be hiding from the undead AND the WLF group AND the zealots. The walking dead had its own issues but at least it had specific rules for the zombies and they stuck to them.

This is MUCH more intriguing than Ellie and Dora the explorer.

The faster you hit square and triangle the further dina squirts

I actually really like Dina, Merced is killing it. She's just a far better actress than Ramsey. She has natural charisma that Ramsey simply doesn't have.

Bella is just a limited actress. She doesn’t have the range to play both the quippy, foul mouthed little girl from Part 1, and the hardened survivor hell bent on revenge that Part 2 requires.
Outside of looking nothing like Ellie (which can be overlooked with the right casting), she just isn’t believable as older Ellie.
She is being CARRIED by everyone she shares a scene with and that doesn’t bode well when she’s the main character now.

I actually didn't mind the playing an singing itself. The timing was just stupid. You're supposed to be hiding and you're banging drums, playing guitar and singing?
It did seem to make Dina's panties wet.
Isaac turning on the fedra troop was pretty wild. I didn't even recognize the guy he had with him in the later scene.
This show has more dicks than tits. That's no bueno.

All they focused on after Dina learned Ellie was immune was her pregnancy, as if that’s the bigger talking point. just like a woman always having to make it about themselves
Ellie’s immunity should be a huge focus for anyone aware of it (which apparently is only Dina now). Dina also noticed Ellie’s older bite marks right away that morning after but no nurses noticed it during her 3 mo. hospital stay. That was the issue I had with the 3rd episode. The plot in the first season was her getting to the fireflies so she could possibly save mankind. This season now it’s just to get revenge on Abby. Pretty strong plot fall off there

Yeah she doesn't pull this off at all. When they were on the roof looking at the battle I had to remeber why they were even considerign going into the warzone because Bella doesn'y give off pissed off, hell bent she-warrior at all. Terrible things happen to her and she is jolly and whitty almost immediately after. I get there are time jumps but you should be able to visually see a change in her demeanor and we just don't.

Agreed.
It sucks that they originally had dever as ellie but she aged out of the role before the show got made because she has shown she can pull off the anger side better than bella
