The casino planet could’ve been an awesome sub plot. It introduced a great character with the code breaker and then...........nevermind we just wanted to show you a bunch of greedy white men and free some horses and keep our token black guy irrelevant at the same time.

It is agreed this is a MUCH different type of Star Wars film.

While walking out last night the SO said she loved it and that it didn't feel like Star Wars. She knew I hated it just from that point. But it wasn't so terrible.
My biggest complaint is that we have no mysticism left in this trilogy.

Yoda looked weird, very weird, like B movie weird
Kylo and Rey vs the guards was one of the few enjoyable moments for me. Superman Leia was laughable.

Preface: I’m in the reasonably level headed camp of the movie didn’t suck, but it did have some letdowns.
I liked it. I didn’t love it, but it wasn’t a negative for the film.
I didn’t get this impression. I enjoyed most of the sequence, and I thought it had great payoff with the ship owning arms dealer dealing to both sides and the code breaker betraying Finn and Rose.
This may be my favorite fight scene of any Star Wars movie. I haven’t seen any complaints about it.
I know one person who didn’t hate this part and it’s really taken a toll on my opinion of said person.

He looked exactly like he did in Empire to me. Which maybe was a problem. But people also freaked out about CGI Yoda in the prequels so meh.

For the Life of me, after Carrie Fisher dies, WHY DIKD THEY NOT MAKE THIS HER DEATH SCENE IN THE EDITS???? It would have been a perfect way to go. Her son tries but is NOT able to pull the trigger to kill her.

The fat asian was terrible. Jon Boyega, I mean dollar store Han Solo, was also absolutely awful. I could go on.

It absolutely is. I went into this movie figuring it was moving on from the old characters to keep it going. I actually liked a lot about it. The Finn/rose storyline was useless. I don't mind journey went with Luke but it isn't the way i would have gone. I do beli2ve how they wrap up this trilogy will affect the way people view this movie down the road

This. Everything, literally everything in the movie related to the Jedi, force using, Sith, darkside, etc. was completely twisted into something...idk what the hell they have done to it. Its unrecognizable, and I can't even say what it is anymore.

Rey/Kylo was the best part of this movie. Loved Luke in it too if you consider all the shite he’s been through in the OT. It made sense for him to be afraid of Ben, seeing as he didn’t want him to suffer like Vader did. Wish Ackbar took that weird ladies place. Finn plot was dumb, but I think mainly because rose is a shitty character.
