Libertarianism for instance cares little about monogamy as a concept.
As long as you’re 3 wives and herd of kids aren’t being a detriment to society then why would I be overly concerned? Just because I might not agree with everything a person does doesn’t mean I have the right to tell them how to live or look down on them as another human being.
As far as the movie goes I am definitely looking forward to it, me and my 5 year old boy watched the original a few weeks ago.

As opposed to forcing your concepts of morality onto others for things that cause no harm to your fellow man?

I actually enjoyed the first Planes.

Both of you have proven my point. Conservatism is all about the family value structure. Libertarianism isn’t.

Let’s keep it to cartoon superheroes here fellas.

Nah, it’s conservatives. Libertarians really aren’t all that much into family values.
Yeah that's one reason why I don't call myself a libertarian anymore.
The decline of the nuclear family, with it being an absolute collapse in the black community, is symptomatic of the deep rot in American society.
It all starts at home and libertarians really don't care much about that.

A thread about an animated movie developed into a Poli Board Thread... amazing

Pixar is kind of the last bastation for conservatism in a way. They’re the one studio that will say “we don’t care if people are sad, mad, or offended, and if anything we’re glad they are because it will turn them into better human beings.”

I would probably agree with you on 90% of the issues but this isn’t the board to discuss it. I did that earlier and then I realized how upset I get when threads on other boards get derailed with political opinions.

Wall E was and still is their absolute GOAT masterpiece.
It's a great warning shot as to the possible fate of humanity if we don't get our shite together.

It’s certainly my favorite Pixar film. It was a film they tried for over a decade to get right. It is my favorite Pixar film and I think it will survive for generations. It is fricking brilliant about us as a species, but it’s also very positive about human spirit. I do think this is one of the films released in my lifetime that will age the best. People 100 years from now will look back on WALL-E and call it a masterpiece in the same way we say of Pinocchio.
EDIT: it also finished highest of all animated films in the last MWADS for this board, and that includes the Lion King or any of Miyazaki’s filmography.

And yet so many conservatives in power are found to be cheating on their wives. Seems to me conservatives are really more interested in policing other people's values than they are on maintaining their own. At least libertarians aren't lying hypocrites.
