Watched season 1 in a day... got to the twist... ok...

I don't really find it very funny honestly... and am a few episodes into season 2 and not really sure I want to go on and finish it....

Anyone else feel this way about the show?

I thought it was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed it from the start. I thought season 2 was better than 1 and the fourth season dragged a little. Overall it was a nice change from the drivel normally on network tv. Give season 2 a shot and if halfway through you still don’t like it it’s probably not for you.

Smart show, but I kind of hated the ending philosophically.

this is where I'm at ..

I like Kristen Bell.. she looks like a girl I used to date... and it makes me think of her all the time....

anyway..

I HATE the monk guy/ Jason... god I hate the stupid aloof character that says dumb shite just to say dumb shite... feels like I lose brain cells everytime he talks.

I mean if it's not for you then it's not for you. IMO The Good Place has some of the best sitcom writing of all time. It's really about ethics and morality but it disguises itself as a dumb fart joke comedy. I honestly love it and think it's genius, but I realize it's not for everyone.

Yes
The episodes go quickly. I will not watch eight seasons of Dexter though.

It had a very satisfying ending, which is rare these days.

It is definitely not a one size fits all sitcom. I loved it but it is not everyone's cup of tea.

Loved it. I think they 4 seasons was all they could really get out of the premise. For a popular, big network sitcom, that’s really unheard of. Every character has a significant and well planned arc.

Whoever said Jason is terrible, you’re wrong. He’s the funniest part of the show.

I absolutely loved the show.

But honestly, if you weren’t into season 1, I don’t see any reason why you’d be into the rest. Seasons 1 and 2 were the two best IMO, and the characters really don’t drastically change their comedic rhythm or joke content throughout the full run. So if you weren’t a fan of season 1, show just might not be for you.

Jason and the Judge played by Mia Rudolf are both awesome. Tbh, I liked the Jason/Tahani romance better than the Jason/Janet one.

I think Kristin Bell has good comedic presence. I think the Janet is quite funny. Tahani is annoying to me.

I love the Judge character. She loves to binge on some TV shows.
