So my dad had told me of a movie he watched on a plane trip years ago called the gods must be crazy-filmed in 1980

Not one word in the movie and it’s one of the most funny movies I’ve watched. It also has a pretty good moral to the story about how innovation can turn out to be very disruptive.

Anyone ever watch it?

I know there has to be a deep philosophical message attached to this movie but I saw it when I was a kid and just found it funny. I'll have to give it a second look. Thanks for the reminder.

It was huge back when I was a kid.

It made $60 million and probably cost a buck and two bits to make.

I remember it for women's breasts being displayed a couple of times.

Watched it several times as a kid. It was popular on cable back then.

Siskel and Ebert made it famous in the US. They were at the peak of their power when they named it a must-see.

Yes - this is one of those cult classics generated out of the early HBO offerings. It is a brilliant piece of filmmaking, simple, elegant, very effective storytelling.

I was 6 when it first came out, I just remember the coke bottle falling from the sky at the very beginning. I'll have to watch it

Rhinos hate fire.

May have laughed harder at this movie than any other.
