The book talk should be banned. There are no books.

People who talk about the EU books are trolls.

EU doesn't exist in Disney's eyes.

Han Solo was my favorite character growing up and I remember his screams affected me more than any other scene in the original trilogy.

To get slightly back on topic, I thought the trailer was well done also. I particularly liked the background music and the throwbacks to the hero theme and other themes.

Dec 17 can't get here soon enough.

It's my understanding that this all takes place roughly 20 years after ROTJ. From everything I remember, in eps IV-VI the Jedi had been reduce to Yoda, Ben and Luke. Were there any others (that remain in cannon) ?

And for these new episodes, are the only canonical sources now the movies (all 6 currently)?

Cheers!

After the end of 6, it was just Luke. And his force sensitive sister.

As far as movies go.

Yoda is dead bro. I mean unless you count his spirit being alive or whatever you call the Jedi afterlife.

It's just Luke in a physical sense.

Glad to get back on this trailer topic. As for some of the new additions, I'm pretty stoked about the low altitude air battles. I dont think weve had that in any of the previous 6. To see the Falcon flying around close to the ground evading TIEs was pretty cool. Same with the XWing battles. Another thing I was hoping to see but didn't is how the technique of the lightsaber duels will be. The OT was more old school medieval sword fighting as opposed to the jump around stuff in the PT. I think I'll be a little disappointed if Finn just goes out there and looks like PT Obi Wan considering he looks to be wielding a saber for the first time.

Kylo Ren seems to weild his Saber with two hands, I'm guessing it'll be more choreographed old style.

Kind of like the Trench Run in "A New Hope?" It was just like Beggar's Canyon back home.

I'm giving you a hard time, but I'm pretty excited based on the footage they have shown so far. Everything looks so much more believable and real than what we saw in the prequels.

What's funny is that everyone complained about the lack of practical effects in the prequels, but they were actually used quite a bit. It's just that so much of it was then touched up with CGI to the point that it looked like people walking in front of a green screen in most of the scenes. This really seemed to get worse in Episodes II and III.

meaning more of the ships being closer to ground. Technically the trench run was the death star which was in space but I know what you mean lol

I get what you mean, atmospheric combat.

I guess with thousands of years of technology you can make space ships that fly as well in atmospheric conditions as they do in zero gravity.

Yeah I expect Finn to be dealt with accordingly. That screenshot someone posted he looked absolutely terrified.

I boldy predict that Kylo Ren cuts off Finns arm and leaves him to fight another day.
