Quickest, least eventful death of a main character - ever.

well they didnt want to call attention to his canceledness.

Bobby mentioned that if they juice up again they could stroke out. They juiced up and he stroked out.

From reading on here in the booked Bobby road a rocket to save her and bobby died doing it. Im glad they didnt kill Bobby, i like her. I would court her.

Bobbie surfed a missile? Why the frick wouldn’t they out the fine as frick Kiwi on a missile? That wouldn’t have been the ultimate of ultimate badassery.

She also dies in the books as a result. I thought they might have given Alex that scene as a way for him to exit the series, but they would have had to film it with him, and his cancel moment came after filming.

If the Expanse Maesters are going to post book spoilers, they should at least get them right.

Correct.. that was my mistake. Got confused with two different book scenes, and I apologize because I wouldn't have "spoiled" it if I would have realized that we weren't actually to that part of the books, yet.

Checking in just burned through the show and finished season 5.

I feel the same way I did after season 4, I like the show, but there’s so much wasted opportunity. Really cool stuff is happening with terror attacks, retaliation, political espionage, new planets, and it all takes a back seat to internal family drama. Seriously did the show writers forget about the 1300 new planets out there until the very end?

I guess it’s my fault, I should’ve read the books if I wanted more. It just seems like they focused on all the wrong things this season. Hell I fast forward through most of Naomi’s scenes on the ship. I bet there was a solid 15 minutes of screen time of Naomi just panting, crying, or thinking in distress this season with no dialogue and no addition to story. Yet multiple stations are blown up and bombs dropped that we see none of.

I hope it’s setting up for an epic final season but I’m worried it’ll be more of the same, wasted time on internal character drama and then rushed scenes to push the plot huge amounts without detail

I was disappointed that the majority of the season was about Naomi's family. Would have liked more of everybody else. Amos, Chrisjen, Alex, Bobbie, and Drummer are all more interesting people. Don't know that Holden is still someone I'd follow into the bowels of Hell. It felt like he's been neutered. If he'd been imprisoned in carbonite, he probably could have done more than he did in Season 5..

The whole Naomi, Marco, Filup story got old fast for me.

Yea he seems more like someone who has just happened to be around when important stuff happened now instead of someone who should be respected or followed. The whole refugee colony stuff in season 4 wasn’t my favorite, but at least he was there standing up for people and doing important stuff

It's still worth watching just to hear Undersecretary Avasarala drop an occasional F-Bomb!

Book 5 was the weakest book, and it was a big drop-off.

Good news is book 6 is balls to the wall action, and book 7 makes book 6 look slow. We'll have to wait a few years for 7 though.

Wrapping up book 5 now. I thought book 4 was the weakest by far. Just my opinion.
