Wow. You all are much lower on this season than other boards I'm on. Another football board I'm on has consensus that this was their favorite season.
I'm only through episode 7, but I'm not nearly as down on the season as this board, either. The Naomi stuff annoys me, but I don't find it to be that annoying.

Just spent way too much time on it.
If you think about each season's plot arc and the effect it has on this particular universe, it doesn't make sense.
They spent a fourth of several episodes on letting us know how sorry Naomi was that she left her son, and how much teen angst he had because of it.
That subplot didnt require so much screen time. We get it. It felt like filler after a while.
Show more of ANYTHING in that universe that is far more important in the grand scheme of things.

Mars... stealth tech on asteroids... devastation on EARTH for goodness sake. theres' so much cooler shite to show than 3 hours of mother/son issues.

I didn't find it to be THAT annoying. I was more pissed at how much time they devoted to that arc. That should have been resolved after 2 episodes.

Why the hell did we not get prime minister Smith on the razorback? I wanted to see the razorback with all 3 in there and the shite they had to go through. Especially bobbie in her armor stuck in there.
Instead we got no bobbie in her armor and she's in a nice comfy chair. No 100 missiles surrounding the razorback to protect it. No bobbie surfing a missile.

The season as a whole was ok. I do think I skipped about 45 minutes of Naomi putting that mask on and walking out into that corridor though.

Bobbie surfed a missile? Why the frick wouldn’t they out the fine as frick Kiwi on a missile? That wouldn’t have been the ultimate of ultimate badassery.

She also dies in the books as a result. I thought they might have given Alex that scene as a way for him to exit the series, but they would have had to film it with him, and his cancel moment came after filming.

Imagine ranking all those issues based on their impact on the show’s universe.
That simple exercise is all you need to do. It tells you what to keep and what to cut.
So cut the mother son plot line - and focus on the top five issues instead.
That’s what a good writer would do.
And they would place the shows characters on Earth, and on Mars, so you could see the impact of these events.

In the book though she rode a missile from the razorback to save Naomi in time.
