Leo getting killed like that was one of the most shocking movie moments I’ve ever witnessed.

I just wanted to throw a little appreciation its way.

Fantastic movie. Endlessly rewatchable.

See I’m the exact opposite on the end of this movie. I thought it was terrible and just felt really lazy to just kill off everybody.

IMO the end of The Departed made a movie that was on its way to incredible just end up being very good.

Definitely rewatchable. I think Nicholson did a bad job even though he made me laugh a lot during it. His accent was terrible, but I love the microprocessor part.

I thought the actual rat on the railing at the end was stupid though.

I saw it in the theater and when Leo got shot I was so surprised I called out, “No!”

I was embarrassed, it was a packed theater.

I was just happy Marky Mark was waiting. But yeah.

I think Scorsese got his oscar finally for that. Leo had had to do the revenant.

That is why I kinda despise the Oscars. Try too hard to give it some fancy bs

Meh, I think Leo and Matt dying was fitting, just the extra blood bath of Damon killing off the other two at the same time was lazy. Can agree that was lazy.

This is a good take and I'll take it a step further. I thought it was a cheap looking movie and somewhat boring.

I think literally every time a Departed conversation pops up on here and I give my opinion, downvotes rain upon me and this exact gif is posted in response.

I would have felt weird leaving this conversation without seeing the gif posted, so I answered the call.

It was definitely a bit indulgent but I guess it’s whatever.

The rat looked nearly as fake as DeNiro's kicks in The Irishman. Scorsese unnecessarily inverted the iceberg in this scene. Terrible.

Ray Winstone shined as Mr French. One of the best characters of the film.

This entire movie is:

Highly rewatchable but never a note of seriousness beyond puffed cinematic bravado.

Instead of the Oscar, Scorsese should've gotten the steak knives...

He out Hong Kong'd Hong Kong but not in a good way. Movie has zero subtlety but its fun.

Simpsons did a parody. Ralph Wiggum: "The rat symbolizes obviousness."
