No, it's the Hollywood media trying to portray the show as a vehicle for virtue signaling because to them it's a positive. I haven't watched yet (but I intend to because the previews and premise look great) but their framing it within the context of race is probably going to turn more potential viewers off than on. That's on their tone deafness, not on those who are pointing out their attempt to inject race politics into the show (whether it exists there or not).

I didn't contradict myself. They clearly set up, in the trailers, that Hal Jordan was going to die. No one spoiled it for you. It was obvious to anyone watching the trailers.
I realize someone claimed he knew something no one else knew, but it was still very obvious from the trailers that Hal Jordan was going to die in this show. They weren't exactly hiding it.

It's a really stupid argument. You'd have had to avoid all news about this show to not know they were killing off Hal Jordan. Stupid to expect "no spoilers" to mean "don't talk about what people employed by the show are saying about the show" and "don't say what they're showing in the trailers means what it obviously means."

Very solid first episode. Had no idea Lindelof was behind this so not surprising it was so well done. Not a superhero guy but this will be appointment viewing on Sundays going forward.

I thought episode one was pretty good except I have one complaint.

I found it really odd and a little jarring that JS would just walk the older lady to her truck and have casual sex with her. There is no way that straight laced character would do that. Talk me out of it, I'm easily swayed if you disagree.

Straight laced or not, if it's offered up that easy it's hard to turn down. He might be a womanizer for all we know as well. i doubt it, but maybe he has a track record with the ladies.

This should be the movie/tv boards tagline now. I'm going to hate on it and tell the people that have watched it all about the show and it's messaging before I even watch it. Pretty much what this board is now.

My only guess is that when the "hal o gram" came back online he also got an upload from the GL corp that may have tipped him off.
