I thought it was a step up. Separating Hal and John was a good idea, as was keeping them both without powers. I wasn't going to like too many episodes of the same bickering and "Yes sir." We get a good action scene, a few good Hal scenes, one threat is added and another is made more immediate. The green lantern detective work was fun.

Yeah, the only Manhunters I know are the Robots..
Almost Sentinel like.
And its pretty obvious the other alien beings were wiped out by them.
The "14 species" that can copy humans will be key.
And to the "thats not how Jon Stewart acts" crowd..

I know nothing about Green Lantern and casually read other comics. Not a lore expert on any of them.
1. I enjoyed them both, it's fair to say the second one drags a bit compared to the first.
2. They're good enough so far that I'll keep watching. I don't have a super-high bar.
3. It has some eye-rolling moments but we can't mention those, which is weird but whatever.

When "doing something" is stealing dead bodies and dragging them across town in the rental that isn't in his name?
Yes. That is really such a bad thing. It was both stupid and reckless. Those are traits of Guy Gardner, not Hal Jordan.

He also takes off to investigate a conspiracy he’s been anticipating without the ring being charged when it would’ve taken him a couple seconds to go grab the lantern. John’s construct remains intact even though he was knocked out twice plus the 5% ring power doesn’t math. Pretty dumb

It's got an 8.3/10 rating on imdb right now. Both episodes have the same rating actually.
The first episode was one of the better super hero tv show premieres I've seen in a long time. The second episode was perfectly fine. Certainly has me looking forward to more. There were some roll your eyes a bit moments in this one that weren't in episode one. But two people on here hated it so it's been 15 pages of them circle jerking their dislike. Madking obviously will ruin any thread so i can't even say read the thread.

Which version of Hal Jordan? For much of his history, "reckless" is absolutely the appropriate word to describe him.
Cocky, willful, reckless, stubborn, loyal. These are all pretty important words for Hal Jordan.

I'm enjoying the show. The only thing I know about Green Lantern is from watching Super Friends cartoons growing up. All I remember is they had some origin story episodes Hal found an alien in a crashed ship and he died and the ring went to him. Or something like that. I can't remember what the background on Sinestro was. I was like 8 or 9 years old and it was a long time ago so if there are major changes to canon or whatever, don't bother me.

5% of the ring lasts about 5-10 seconds. Think about how stupid that is logistically.
