I think you’re looking at it all wrong. They didn’t realize it, they’re not that smart. These are the people second screen viewing was invented for. I think you’re giving them too much credit.

Breaking lore multiple times in the first 2 episodes is definitely a reason to believe they’ll do more of it.
they aren't "breaking lore" they're writing their own for this cinematic universe.

No it hasn’t, this is akin to you “not seeing the political shite that way” just because you don’t know or you’re being intentionally ignorant doesn’t erase reality.

Btw how will they turn Kerry into Barbara Gordon? That’ll be some fun retardation as well.
Oh I really hope that's not where we're going with that character. Members of the "bat family" going undercover in investigations isn't unusual, but going so far as to marry and live as a married woman for multiple years would be quite a bridge to cross.

Unfortunately, it is definitely starting to feel like you're right about this. I can't believe people are still trying to pretend the alien detector waste of time gave us "new information." This was basically a bottle episode.

Now you're just grasping at straws.

Well it’s because they can’t connect it to the the idiocy of Hal going to investigate what he believes to be a major conspiracy with a depowered ring. They consume and regurgitate, nothing can be broken down in any logical way.

Come on now. This wasn't even close to a central part of this episode. That side-plot could have played out over the course of literally any episode. Using that as an example of something we "learned" from this episode is a bad sign for the show.

John is a moron so they’re destroying his character as well. He can’t be too active, things have to happen to him so he can remain a victim but he just comes off as stupid and bad at his job.
Btw did you notice them aping True Detective with the non lived in home for Hal? They damn near copied the lines 1 for 1.

it's going to be important when you realize John doesn't need a ring to be a Lantern

Him trying to "fly" but instead conjuring a bird definitely wasn't the "hoorah" moment the show wanted us to believe it to be. And maybe there is precedent for a Green Lantern keeping a construct going while the ring that constructed it is powered down, but that was new to me.

I need to finish that first season off. We started it but life got in the way.

This would be terrible.

No, lanterns can’t make constructs without the ring. The bird was just to let us know John breaks the lore because he’s so special. John also can’t use Hal’s ring like in the show. Again this isn’t a GL show, they’re writing around the characters and breaking the lore because they don’t like the characters and dgaf about the lore.

I didn't get that as the vibe they were trying to pass that off at all.
Just a comical moment and that John still has a lot to learn and Hal has a weird way of teaching him.
The first episode was really strong and that episode alone buy's the show some time to get rolling. It's not like this was The Last of Us S2 EP2 bad.

If someone is voluntarily handed a ring by a Green Lantern, they can absolutely use that ring.
You should study up on the lore if you're going to accuse people of breaking it.
