I try to over look things like this, especially in movies where there are heros or there is magic. But completely defying physics and human anatomy drives me nuts. Watch 2012 (mainly the plane scenes) from a physics standpoint and try not to yell at the director through the tv.

Haven't ever watched this and can't say I really plan on it

Doesn't matter what it's made of. The rapid speed then coming to a hault would kill them because of the G forges. Think of how Ernhart died. 200 to much slower speed very quickly, cause his skull to rupture.
He also wasn't wearing the harness that would have saved his life had he been wearing it. But that's neither here nor there. I have always assumed that Batman's cape slowed their descent down enough to save their lives. Half of it was open and catching air as they were falling from the tower.

the motorcycle kick flipping off the wall gets me every time
so does the kidnapping of the chinese dude from the window
I agree, the things that defy physics are what drives me nuts in these movies. I suspend belief and still really enjoy them.
to derail even further, I love how the new Bond films are more realistic in terms of action sequences. Love the Parkour-esque foot chase scenes especially.

They were actually going to do that stunt without CGI but the Chinese government did not want a plane flying that low over Hong Kong.

The motorcycle is ridiculous. The kidnapping though is plausable. Their acceleration could have been comntrolled by using a bungee cord and a boom could have reached down and grabbed the line (that was grabbed by the front of the plane) so they could be pulled up to the cargo area.

Like how Gwen Stacey died in Spider-Man, forgetting the fact that it was the 1 time in the entire history of Spider-Man they applied actual physics.

I'm sure what was heard in the trailer is true for the movie.
In the one scene talking to catwoman in the middle it doesn't bad, the ending scene talking about getting into a car though he sounds pretty close to the 1st 2 movies

One of the reason why I liked 'Begins' better. Joker was badass. The opening scene was great. I just thought the movie was a bit too long. I have no issues rewatching Begins over and over whereas The Dark Knight is harder like that. Guess I just liked the whole origin story more. To each his own.

This is a pretty cool .gif image of Batman and Bane fighting (presumably in the sewers of Gotham, underneath the football stadium). It combines the final scene in the teaser trailer with one of the scenes in trailer 3.

I'm not feeling this movie at all. The whole football scene is just terrible. So Hines Ward is running 20 yards and never gets the sense that the whole damn ground is collapsing?
I hope Nolan goes back to awesome psychological thrillers after this. Drop the comic book stuff.

How do we know that he doesn't get a sense? And besides, according to those who have seen the footage from CinemaCon, the final cut isn't just a continuous shot of Hines Ward running down the football field. The camera cuts away to show the press box exploding as well as a couple of sky boxes going up in flames.

if you got a sense the ground behind you was collapsing, would you stop running? he couldve felt it, continued until the ground stopped shaking, then turned around.

This. And what is it with people who are nitpicking at things that they would have ignored had it not been a Christopher Nolan movie? Yes, Nolan has brought a sense of heightened realism to his vision of Batman but that doesn't mean that EVERYTHING has to be freaking realistic. At the end of the day it's still a comic book movie. Yes, it is a smarter comic book movie that may or may not end up redefining the genre itself, but it is a comic book movie nonetheless. You are going to frequently find things happening in these films that CANNOT happen in reality.
