This is a pretty cool .gif image of Batman and Bane fighting (presumably in the sewers of Gotham, underneath the football stadium). It combines the final scene in the teaser trailer with one of the scenes in trailer 3.

Who's the guy in the grassy knoll?

Dunno. He's in the teaser trailer as well as trailer 3.

Are you saying the only reason we are getting this story line and Bane is due to Heath dying? This was not the story all along?

Yep. Nolan has said he wasn't all that familiar with the character until after Heath's death. He said a couple of times that he thought the biggest mistake Burton made on the first series is killing off the Joker.

Where's GameCock, Nolan's conscience, when you need him?

There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that the Joker was going to play an integral part in the third movie before the death of Heath Ledger brought those plans to a halt. All of that was just speculation and innuendo from David S. Goyer who had yet to talk to Nolan about a third film at the time. The story we will get with The Dark Knight Rises has been the intended story all along because Nolan didn't start working on it until after The Dark Knight had been completed and released.

Its obvious from the Dark Knight, Nolan talking very openly before Heath's death about the Joker not dying, Nolan talking about killing the Joker being a mistake that Burton made, and the fact that Nolan has said he wasn't that familiar with Bane's character before Heath's death that the Joker would be a major antagonist in the third film.

I do agree that the joker would have been in this one but im not so sure he would have been one of the main villains. I think he would have had a small role yet just enough scenes to please all the fanboys.

It's so crazy to see another trailer. I remember googling Batman 3 like a dork.

Completely different tone from second trailer. Great stuff. It seems Bruce Wayne loses a game of beer pong to Bane. In victory Bane throws him down the sewer. Eventually Batman gets back up and reclaims his throne.

Or something like that.

A trailer thread has gone ten pages and counting. How many actual movie threads do that? Has the level of geek in this thread been mentioned yet?

Early leaked screen shots were of Lazareth pits. He'll be back but younger. We get Neeson in flashbacks.

Pretty sure thats just the big arse hole they show Bruce climbing out of or at least trying to.

Umm, we don't do that here on the M/TV board. This isn't the OT.

didn't mean to offend. That thread will be epic... I might see that movie 2-3 times in the first week, so I could imagine it getting pretty in-depth.

The spoilers for TDKR will be freaking ridiculous. I'll be sure to avoid reading about it the weeks before its released.
