prefer bane's voice in that one

so do i. i thought it fit his character a lot more.

i think catwoman is tied into the league of shadows, thats how she knows about bane.

bruce is kissing someone not anne hathaway in the trailer. enter the talia story.

i believe with most that by the end bruce will not be batman. watch batman begins again. the entire movie is about making an image more than a man. you cannot kill an idea. that idea is batman. the franchise will come full circle with bruce being replaced.

I think we've already discussed on here how the plot is going to pan out.

Well, at least how you think it's going to pan out. Could be a lot different than most think.

I'm trying to keep my expectations as low as possible. I'm still not sure if it was a bad decision not to recast The Joker. I will hopefully gladly eat crow for the past few years of comments. However if Nolan had to go with an alternate villain, Bane was clearly a really good choice. Still not sure how I feel about Catwoman though.

Are you saying the only reason we are getting this story line and Bane is due to Heath dying? This was not the story all along?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be the Joker in this story again, but Heath dying put a damper on that. I'm sure there would have been other villains too, but Joker was supposed to be in this one.

I would have really liked to have seen Harley Quinn adapted into Nolan's universe. I think she could have adapted well and it was the perfect time for her to be introduced in the story. Granted I wouldn't want to see her without Mr. J, but I'd bet that Harley's inclusion was part of Nolan's original plan before Heath's death.

There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that the Joker was going to play an integral part in the third movie before the death of Heath Ledger brought those plans to a halt. All of that was just speculation and innuendo from David S. Goyer who had yet to talk to Nolan about a third film at the time. The story we will get with The Dark Knight Rises has been the intended story all along because Nolan didn't start working on it until after The Dark Knight had been completed and released.

I have never been able to find a direct quote from Nolan on this. From every board I have read, from NolanFans to SHH, they are all in agreement that it was all just rumor and speculation concerning the Joker and the third Batman film. I seem to remember David S. Goyer talking about it but Goyer and Nolan differ a lot on some of the comic book elements. I have a feeling that such characters as Harley Quinn and Robin do not interest Nolan in the slightest.

I thinks he's referring to around 2:01 and it's way to tough to tell.

Robin I agree on. I don't think Nolan wants any part of that. Harley Quinn I can see if done right, and I'm sure he'd do it right.

yeah i thought so only because its the only scene in the entire trailer where you cant really see batman's face. theres no way you can "know" that its JGL.

i do believe the theory that he will be batman by the end, but i dont think that shot is proof.

well Nolan keeps most everything on lock down, but I think they strongly hinted within TDK that Batman and the joker weren't finished

In one scene in a trailer. Hopefully it's true for whole movie but I don't have my hopes up

That's Christian Bale because that's right before Bane beats the crap out of Batman. You can see Bane walking down the catwalk toward him in the distance. That's Batman and Bane's first encounter.

I disagree...

In the comic, the beatdown/backbreak occurs in the Batcave (Bane had known Bats/Wayne were the same). That was not the Batcave.

Also, the jawline/chin was too angular for Bale (and the cowl was narrower as well).

did you notice the difference between Banes voice in the 2 trailers?

If not Nolan, the studio definitely heard the feedback on the voices and all the mocking of Bale's voice. I'm sure what was heard in the trailer is true for the movie.

Bane's gargle in trailer 2 to this is almost proof enough.

They're not in the bat cave for the beat down. All reports/speculation from the set say that the first encounter between Bane and Batman occurs in the sewers underneath the football stadium.
