The black goo and trying to explain the engineers is Hollywood pseudo intellectual philosophy bs at its worst. They can’t just let something be everything MUST be filled in and MUST be explained down to every last insignificant detail.

reminds me of the Acolyte critics during the explosion on Brendok

Then you’re stupid as usual. Complaining about plot holes or contrivances within a show or movie isn’t the same as disliking unnecessary prequels going back in 10+ years later to fill in questions no one asked or wanted answered.

some people did ask those questions though

not the majority, but there were people asking about it, even if those people were the ones working on Prometheus

Prometheus - The Franchise Killer

Alien Covenant - Why Does This Movie Exist?

That's a real "Whoops, my franchise take didn't age well. Time to double down" situation.
No, it's consistent. 'Franchise killer' doesn't mean that no film will ever be made again. It's just not nearly as appealing to fans as it was before the shite movie.

I saw this new Crow and Drinker’s review is spot on. It’s a boring dull movie that has nothing going for it.

My wife was desperate just to get out of the house and this shitbomb was the only movie that fit our time slot. It’s legit the worst movie I’ve seen in a theater in recent memory.

A movie I don't understand why they tried to remake. What were they trying to expand beyond the original?

I mean they already had 2 or 3 sequels that were horrible that were basically remakes, themselves. I don't know why they thought another attempt would work.

Based on that review, the movie is also boring as frick.

If Disney remade The Crow: Wicked Prayer shot for shot Corinthians would call it a great movie without even watching it.
